Where do you live Al Mac?
    I'm home, without alcohol.

Me, I'm in Cheshire, if you were to draw a line between Chester and Manchester and Liverpool and Birmingham, around about the join. Probably got that second line wrong, could be Warrington ;)

Good idea about no alcohol, did you know it's a depressant ;)

Thought you'd occasionally been mention places I know. I spent most of my life in Cheshire :) So you are saying you don't live in Warrington? Good job, don't like it there. Ikea is good though!

I'm going to eat instead of drink lol.

  • well .its almost the New Year and my NY resoulution again is to quit the drink.i have tried and tried but can only last one day and by day tweo i crave it soo much that i give in and end up drunk after telling myself i'll just have one.It just creeps up on you. for years i have bwewen telling myself i just love a wee drink. but i have a severe problem. as some one said on here nothing happens at night...any night cos i am usually !!!!ed or getting there.
is thre any thing i can take to help the craving for alcohol ? weas searching the net earlier and came accross https://www.mywayout.org and it suggested TOPAMAX .has anyone heard of this or anything else to help me kickstart getting my life back. i have missed so much of my kids lives.....even the youngest asks me "have you had a drink mum, can you give me a lift to weherever". i feel better even just admitting to myself i have a problem , the hard bit is staying off the stuff...........

There isn't anything I know of that will stop you drinking.

Mine was will power and the thought of losing everything.

    AA works for some.

Have you talked to your OH.

    Be back later :)

    hi
i couldnt get in to that site it asked for password, i used to drink like you and called it my day on day off theory, the day off i usally felt so bad i couldnt drink. then day after that i forgot or lied to myself how bad it was.

i tried drugs to numb the craving. camprsai or somethiing, didnt work though as i had a mental obsession that would convince me that i wasnt an alcoholic or i could have just one(be it drink or sesson) and i'd be ok to stop again after that. but it never happened. once i was on it i was on it. with or with out the days off towards the end.

i have tryed most ways to stop and controll drinking. but the only thing i have found that helps to keep me stay stopped is here
    seee what you think
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.
