Hi Al

Coming on here today was a mega step for me and I'm really pleased I did it.

Its made me feel very emotional and I need to have a good long think about where I go from here. I take on board all you say about Oh, family and GP but I think I need to just take it a step at a time. Bit weepy at moment.

susie, Al knows what he's talking about, because it sounds like you are in a simular situation.
I went to see the doctor after my wake up time, it was embaressing, very, but it did make me realise there are people out there that will listen. When I started stopping, I had someone on the phone for me all the time, I can't begin to count the number of days I haven't drunk since then, when I would have before.
Al is right, I think you will need someone else, how do you think your OH would take the news?

Al, go and do some washing up, or do what I do, just reuse all the cups and spoons till they go black

Just take it slow, don't rush anything, you must have enormous courage to post on here, especially at the moment.

Let it sink in and come back whenever you want, theres always someone about at most times of the day and night.
