    You need as many routes for support as you can get. According to my (ex)counsellor. He was quite insistant that the doctor had to be one. Think the doc was a bit stunned to have someone walk in and say I used to drink to much, I haven't drunk for 5 weeks, I'm working my way out of it, just thought you needed to know;) Would probably have preffered someone still !!!!!! :)

    all along ive needed time off work cause im a recovering alocoholic and i
    havent had enough corage to tell you before... and i no i should of said
    somethink when you prescribed me the diazipam but my OH wouldnt let me say anything... o by the way ive got meself in the AA fellowship and im XX days dry...... :o


    i couldnt get throught the AA doorway without blarting....
    im sure he'll comit me, i'll be in such a state i no i will :o:o

    He can't commit you hun, not without a psychiatric report :D He could refer you to therapy though ,which would be complementary to the AA meetings ;)
