Ive got a wholemeal loaf in my breadmaker as I type
didn't think to check first that those measurements were suitable for my machine..hope the quantities aren't too much..Ive visions of an over spill!!
love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Just for information, American cups are 8 fluid ounces, so you can measure your flour etc in any measuring jug with fl oz from this fact. If you have a spare plastic jug or large beaker, you could always use a permanent marker to label it for 1/8 cup, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 cup etc by measuring water or rice in a measuring jug to calibrate correctly. On the other hand, American cup measures are very cheap if you can find them in a hardware/kitchen shop.

Well, I followed Wendys quantities to the letter but unfortunatley it didn't work out for me..bread didn't rise and is heavy and stodgy. Gutted.love my little man he is amazing :j0

oh dear. Was your yeast old? Mine doesn't rise when my yeast has been open for a while. If I have got out of the habit of making it. I'm gutted for you!Wendy0

Helen, if you look at the back of your breadmaker, on the metal plaque thing there should be a model number in the middle. Your description sounds a lot like mine, I've had it for a while too
.
My cup is 250ml to the brim, if that helps.
I still have the book it came with, so if you want any of the recipes give us a shout!

Hello - I had a similar problem workig out how to use and find recipes for my Morphy Richards breadmaker which I bought on ebay about 6 months ago.
I couldn't find a manual on line, cos it was an old model (though still in perfect working order), so I emailed Morphy Richards and they sent me a PDF of the user manual, which also contained LOTS of recipes.
Nothing better than waking up to the smell of fresh bread!!!0 -
Wendy, yes the yeast was old..the sachet was open, but pegged closed but I guess this was the reason for failure then?love my little man he is amazing :j0
