In the workplace, you probably should not be using extension leads at all for a permanent set-up. That's the rule at our office.
I remember we had that rule years ago but then they started craming more and more people into office space without expanding sockets and with everyone now having their own PC and often printer it's become the norm. They did want to move 2 more people into our office but it was blocked as the electrician said our office is upto max. as the two people would need PCs and that it can't cope.

I'm glad you can see into this persons office and tell the exact ratings of all her equipment. Not being able to do so is not a sign of limitation of electrical knowledge. It just shows I don't have physic powers.

    :rotfl:

Brilliant mispelling, just because it unintentionally supported what espresso said.

Presumably you mean IEE (which doesn't exist any more in that form), IEEE are US based.

Confuses me as well as I used to have MIEE MIEEE which just looks ridiculous.

Professional Member of IEE and Professional Member of IEEE. Just the letters you put after your name.

They are LCD monitors. 2 fans are desk fans for cooling but there is also a heater fan (but it smells a bit) that gets used in the winter. The lamps are halogen 50w I think
The heater changes everything - some can use upto 3kw, the maximum capacity of a 13amp rated extension.
Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.
