Thanks guys!
I've been ill for a while & needed my comfort food as I went to ground over the weekend.
Have just had it like this - warmed up, with sliced mango and peach slices & served with creme fraiche - so good, I may damage the next one on purpose (although, I somehow managed to eat about 25% more than normal)

Any help with ideas??
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the exisitng thread

Mr S had a Christmas version of the McVities one (with rum and raisins) and because there were loads and loads left they were very, very cheap. Might be worth checking your local to see if they've still got any among the 75% off Christmas cakes, panaforte and pies section.
My granny used to butter slices of JGC and serve it with lots of jam sandwiches and jam jars of tea for the farmers when they were straw-hauling (no matter how hot the summer sun might have been!).0
