Not sure about BCP but Purple discontinued Tesc points some time ago.

I still have a Clubcard Plus card that I used to get double points on before they introduced double points for everyone.

I carried on using it for fuel thinking I was getting more points, but not really sure.

Now though, I presume I should just buy my fuel with my Tesco credit card and ditch the Plus card?

A very good point - I was wondering much the same, and the answer isn't anywhere to be seen.

It's double points for Tesco credit cards, but this isn't a credit card, so it's probably worth switching to the credit card. At least that means you'll be able to pay at the pump!

I too have a Clubcard +. They don't promote it at all these days. Anyway, I did enquire at Clubcard Towers and they said we get 3 x the points. Not absolutely sure though as it is never printed on the receipt.

I like the way you can overdraw on C+ on one transaction and there is no penalty!

Thanks. The trouble is, though, that you seem to get a different answer every time you phone them.

It would be helpful if they were prepared to commit themselves to writing.

The Clubcard Plus is not available to new applications. You may get more points in Tesco with it, but the Credit card gives you points outside Tesco.
Transactions:
In-store
Clubcard £20 = 40 pts.,
Clubcard+ £20 = 40 + 20 (finance) pts = 60,
Credit card £20 = 40 + 5 (finance) pts = 45,

Fuel
Clubcard £20 = 10 pts.,
Clubcard+ £20 = 10 + (finance) pts = 20,
Credit card £20 = 20 + (finance) pts = 25.

I use a combination of both. I presume they would give away too many points if they gave double (or triple points) on fuel !

This is quite interesting. We currently pay by Tesco credit card, but did not realise that the clubcard plus gave further points in store following the introduction of double points generally.

It would be nice if we could get confirmation that this is the case, as I was considering getting rid of my CC+.

Before double points came along, CC+ had two points per pound i.e. one CC point & one cfp (clubcard finance point), after double points CC+ effectively became two + one. As long as you pay with your CC+ card (to get the finance points).
If you ring Clubcard they could give you some examples of transactions and points - especially after 'filling-up'.

Tesco are only following Sainsbury's lead! They reduced Nectar points on fuel some time ago! Though it'll be interesting to see if they become more aggressive in pricing!!?
