i shouldve bought £40K worth of Lloyds shares two weeks ago (at .62p)
wouldve made nearly £8,000 profit!!! (.74p now)
wouldve been a big gamble if theyd gone the other way though!

How did you work that out?;)

£40,000 would buy approx 65000 shares at 0.62 per share.
new price of 0.74 per share gives a profit of 0.12 per share (or 19.35%)
65000 multiplied by 0.12 (or £40,000 multiplied by 19.35%) equals £7800 approx.

You obviously don't pay have to pay tax on earnings or commision charges on share transactions.
