Flybe credit card

Hi NID

I recently applied for Flybe CC got the usual 7 to 10 days reply, I have noticed that on my equifax file that both Sygma & Creation financial have made a search against my file, until now I did not think anything of it as a few days ago I requested with next a store card to go with my account with them. Should I call Equifax and enquiry about the 2 searches?

They are unique, I did explain this the other day but the way they work is as follows:

- One search from Sygma Bank (Credit Card) which is the main bank/product
- One enquiry from Creation which is their underwriting dept
- One enquiry from Sygma Bank Fraud which is their fraud checks

The 2 enquiries will move to footprints after the decision, but if they stay in searches then pointless arguing as Sygma do not remove them - kinda like O2 issuing 3 searches per iPhone application!

Anyway, don't worry too much about the searches at the moment, just wait til you get the decision through - you can ring to find out the answer if you applied last week.....?

Did you get accepted for the Next account, as these are not the same as Sygma and will show as a credit search for Next (Directory).....

I apply for Flybe only on Wednesday and the searches/enquiry were made yesterday to Equifax.
I have had the next account now for almost 6 months and you have to wait that time to request an account card, so next told me they would put request and when 6 months comes up in August they would send the card.

Sorry, I see what you mean now - you've ordered online etc for the last few months but you want their storecard to allow you to spend in the next stores - yes, you need to wait 6mths but no credit search will be done, it is extended to the catalogue account but shares that limit. You do, however, have to sign a new agreement amendment

Just curious to see now if I will get some positive news from Flybe, if not does not really matter but would be really p....d off if 2 searches stayed on my file!!

well one should convert to just an enquiry (unrecorded) so no1 would see it other than you, at the moment have they done 2 searches or one search and one unrecorded enquiry?

I'd ring Sygma and ask for answer- they will already have decided...... if they say no then mention 'how come there are two searches, I want one removed being I applied for one credit product not two'

For what I have seen on my report Sygma has made a search for current & previous address and there is one enquiry from creation financial

i have call them but said they could not give answer, have to wait so maybe it won't be good news after all

Ok, this is correct then.

The previous address search does not add to the total searches of current address so if you apply for 5 cards at current address using your previous address as well (i.e. within 3yrs of move) then you'll get double searches show on your file but only one will count....

how are they hard???
the only cards i manged to get are sygma cards, crapital one and vanquis..... not my own bank...
