Flybe credit card

Applied online late last night and received the response "we'll contact you by post in the next 7 to 10 days"

Is this a standard response and how easy is it to get a card from them?

Cheers.

After having a flick through the website it seems as if it's an instant decision. Did you 'sign and agree' at the end of application?

Yep, I typed my name into the agreement box.

Some people get accepted automatically and some people don't. Your response was not a straight out decline so keep a candle burning

I wouldn't worry and just wait for their response. Hopefully you'll get it.

The Flybe card is provided by LaSer UK, formally Creation Financial Services. "We'll let you know in 7-10 days" means "We're not sure. We'll think about it", essentially you're very close to the accept/decline margins so it's not clear cut.

    Hope that helps. Good luck.

    Yep what he said.

I applied two weeks ago and got the same message and 8 days later a card dropped through my letterbox.

On the strength of this my girlfriend applied and she got the 7-10 days message and six days later she got a card through the letterbox same limit and APR as myself:D

I looked at the this and sure it mentions that "they will give you their decision within 7-10 days" before you make the application.

I thought that Flybe Card was provided by "Sygma Bank" and that Creation Financial Services now "Laser uk" provider store card like debenhams, JJB, next etc...

Stephane - you're half right, they issue most storecards such as JJB but next is independant and Debenhams falls under the old GE Money (Santander) brand.

Regards to decisions, if you apply outside normal working hours for ANY credit product then usually it will be referred as they require a live system which ceases at 20.00hrs mon-fri.....

Sygma are hard though and they also issue a lot of cifas warnings so bear this in mind.... personally, avoid them like the plague - they are a mini sub-prime unit. Your main bank should always be considered prior to Sygma - if Sygma will take you then your own bank should as Sygma use a full scorecard meaning they do act as a super prime lender even though some sub prime customers can get a card with them......
