We're looking at moving area and have noticed some nice houses for sale around here, but we worry about the area - i.e why can you get so much more for your money?
I've heard bad reviews of the towns, but I don't believe every single street in them is going to be a place to avoid - anyone know of where is ok around them?
Any help would be very gratefully received - it seems to be one thing Google can't help me with!

Try moving slightly out of Farnborough/Aldershot and the house prices are still not too high but not so many squaddies. Try Camberley/Blackwater/Yateley area to see if there's anything there in your price range. Good transport links as well.
Or Sandhurst/College Town as well.
Have a drive awround any area you are interested in, bith by day and also in the evenings. Might get a better feel for where is good and bad.0 -
Aldershot - nicest areas are Rowhill and Manor Park wards. Worst areas are North Town and Tices Meadow/Heron Wood as these are a bit chavvy. I'd look to live somewhere like Church Lane East, i.e. the south side of the train station.
Farnborough - nice parts are southwood, south farnborough, west heath. avoid Totland and parts of cove.0 -

Hi people
What about Pinewood Park in Farnborough?
Also, slightly away from that area, we're considering Bisley near Woking too.
Any thoughts?
