Hi - I was on an old contract with Vodafone paying about £15.65 per month for 100 min + 100 texts and wanted to reduce my mobile phone bills as I've just been made redundant. I phoned Vodafone to cancel the contract but got talked into agreeing an 18 months contract for under 10 quid but giving me the same 100 min + 100 texts as before. I agreed but when the contract came through it stated 300 min + unlimited texts for £14.68

I logged onto my account area on the Vodafone website and sent a message explaining the problem and requested to cancel the plan change. I received an email on Saturday stating that I was still within the 7 day cooling off period and it requested me to phone Vodafone MON-FRI between ...

So I phoned them today but was told that I was now outside the cooling off period and I should have called on the same day I received the email

So now I'm lumped with a contract I never asked for and I'm not willing to pay for it for the next 18 months

What can I do?

Cheers
Michael
