Well I couldnt believe it we had the white stuff this morning, its gone now and the sun is shining but its very cold.
Have the two little ones today and keeping warm indoors.
Weve made a decision to go to Wales (back home) for christmas this year, its a bit last minute but really feel we need to see the family as we havent seen them since July, so that'll be nice. Plus we havent had a christmas there for around 8 yrs now. Need to book the ferry now, had a quick look and there is still some room left. Off to make tea, hope everyone is keeping healthy and warm.:j

Morning everyone, its cold and windy here today. DS1 birthday 14 already, dont know where the time goes. Have the two small ones today so a bit more money for our trip to Wales. Im sick of all the budget bad news and less money child benefit cuts etc. Its a good job were all on this site and know how to budget otherwise we'd be stuffed. Another good reason to get rid of barclaycard quickly and have some extra cash. Ive only paid off £200 this month as were going away and didnt want to leave us short, as January is always a horrible mean month anyway. So hopefully I'll catch up in January with the dreaded card!:eek:

Good for you Turfy. I know my biggest boy will be 15 next time, (he still went to bed at 6.30 last night for being a git!) where does the time go? Still sorting paperwork for the update, not as good as i would've hoped. OH came up trumps and won £20 on bb, which has been withdrawn.

Had lunch with the girls it was ok. My friend bought 2 lovely thows for the living room really nice and snuggly. Will have a fight to get them off the children when I want one! Will update later.

Morning my woolly friend, no white stuff here yet. Very cold and lots of frost have lit the stove already. The sun is shining though and we managed a walk with the dog to the school bus earlier on.
Had my bi annual hairdo yesterday and lunch with two friends that was nice to catch up. Have the little ones today and have to make more biccies and bread. Im quite looking forward to the new year this time round as I know Im making inroads into the debt and want to get cracking on the barclaycard again. Feel bad I havent managed much this month but really didnt want to leave us short, especially with the trip next week. All booked now and looking forward to seeing mum and dad, hope we get up the country ok especially with the wintry forecasts. Keep warm everyone.:T

Well were back from wales and we had a lovely time. should have been back here for the new year but were delayed as our ferry couldnt dock and would have meant travelling all night so we stayed over for new year too. Home now and were greeted by snow in dublin and really icy roads all the way home. Our well has been frozen for about 4 days now and most people who live in the village have frozen water pipes, so were having to carry water home. The heating worked for a while but now the water is all frozen in the pipes we decided it safer to switch it off and just light to stove. Have leccy blankets at night so not too bad. It was -8 last night and even the gas bottle froze for the top of the cooker. Ive never known it so bad since we moved here 7 yrs ago! Problem is that the sun is not around long enough to thaw us out. Hope everyone is keeping warm and happy new year to you all. Off for a mosey round the diaries. Nice to be back.:T
