Have a look at Volunteer work with English Heritage. I was chatting to a couple of the people at Lindisfarne Castle ( sitting in various rooms with a Guide Book answering questions). They were staying at a cottage on the Island and, as long as they gave 5 hours a day for 5 days of the week, they got free accom etc.
They said that there was all sorts available from digging canals out to the sort of work they were doing.......could be a cheap interesting holiday?:D stay wonky

I have been to see my Great Nephew Connor - who lives in Exeter....2 and a half hours there and 2 and a half hours back.....a 2 hour visit in the middle....
My sister was desperate for me to go and see them, as my lazy bone idle selfish parents just cannot be bothered...honestly me and my sister may as well just not exist as far as my dad is concerned. My mother just doesn't drive (well she does but only up the road and back). I am really the only other family my sister has....
I am really behind with work now though....
Awww I bet he's gorgeous. You're a fab great aunt Sammy for going all that way to see himIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I am a great aunt 8 times!
Buffy - When i was younger, my Mum used to ask me about what I was doing and where I was going etc which I thought of as interfering. My best friends Mum didn't ask her any questions at all which she took to mean she wasn't interested!
So either way can be irritating. Of course since being a Mum I ask my daughter constantly what she is doing and now realise why my Mum did it.
Also having lost my Mum, I would do anything to have her back asking me questions!!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I'm almost ready to start having conversations without feeling the need to tear random people's heads off or punch holes in the wallsso yay me:rotfl:
I shudder to think how badly the diet has actually been over the past 2 weeks but there is a good reason for it I suppose. I will confess to my multitude of sins on the diet thread once I've braved the scales (sometime in 2013 then):rotfl:
