Elle Rhys is looking great! i was showing OH his pics earlier and he couldnt believe it was the same little boy i showed him pics of a few weeks ago!! you see how tiny he is when you see him on the muslin!

shopping was done but was a nightmare, i had the 3 little ones with me and my legs are aching with pushing a heavy trolley. am having a lot of problems with an elderly neighbour at the moment, she is driving me crazy and im not sure who to contact about her? she is usually quiet and doesnt talk when sober, however she drinks a lot and when she drinks she wont leave me alone. she bangs on the door day and night to tell me to put my bin out for pick up? even if its not bin day. she comes asking stupid questions and then wont go away. the final straw was the other night i was in the kitchen which is the other side of the house, erin was in living room screaming as she was hungry and i was trying to get her food sorted out. she went quite which i thought was strange and when i came through neighbour was in house drunk trying to pick her up! i was fuming and she kept going on about erin screaming all the time and there is no need for it and that a baby shouldnt cry like she does? she has started again today and im ready to throttle her(today she was at OH not me)then when she was told to go away she was knocking next door who has a terminally ill husband and harrassing her. sorry just needed to get that out

I went to asda with my three, alone, for the first time this afternoon too! It was quite painless! Violet in the baby seat, Liv sitting in the trolley reading a book, and Joe helping me push! :T I did laugh though, they kept putting calls out for someone who'd left a trolley full, in the tea/coffee aisle to come and collect it. Obviously a stressed out mum had gone home.

How elderley is the elderley neighbour? Is it something social services would deal with? I had one when I first moved here - she knocked a few times at 5ish in the morning, saying i'd phoned her and do I need help. She had family but they didn't seem to give a toss! She eventually got moved into a care home - but for the three years previous she shouldn't have been living alone.
Oh well more bad news regarding my Dad once again he is in hospital after having had a stroke. He went to the optician yesterday with problems with his sight and they did a thorough check and said it was something wrong with his nerves that attach to the brain so sent him to hospital. they said it looked like a stroke. He was sent home and was to go back for a ct scan and other tests. But when he woke this morning he had no feeling down his right side and also had slurred speech so mum called doc who had him admitted immediatly(sp). So will be going into visit him tomoro.

Huggs Scruffy - I hope he makes a good recovery!

Had tea at in laws tonight before they go on a cruise 2mo. First thing MIL said was "have you lost weight?" aparently I look fab *blush*:D
her cleaner was there, who is also my friends mum (the one who had baby henry t'other week) she told me he was 61cm long  no wonder he got stuck!! Her DD was 58cm so both pretty much off the scale! Weirdest part is her and her OH are both shorter than me n hubby- how did she manage to make such giant babies

I did think when I met your in RL you're so tiny you can't possibly have had a baby just a few weeks ago, you must have bought him, like Madonna. :rotfl:

You weren't here last night but you shamed me into spending the night ironing (well - 2 items then a quick squizz on here and FB then 2 more items LOL)

You never know - with Ed's hair he may soon be the very model of a designer baby of choice!!!

The strangest thing was that Sami SOUNDED exactly like I expected her to :rotfl:

r.mac I think this is a really good point and I wonder as well whether we are used to jobs and education where there is a feeling of a finished product, a project, report or somesuch. But a lot of the work we do as mums is just as hard, but there's no discernable 'end product' in being constantly available to your child, monitoring her stimulation levels, holding her safety close in your mind at all times... as well as the observables like clean bottoms and milk drunk!!! So I think it is easy then to focus on things with a visible end product, the carpet was dirty but is now clean, for example.

Just something I've been musing on myself these last few months :)

    Ooh, we're getting all deep!
I think when i'm at work, i'm very methodical, I have bits to do in my job, to get to and end result.
Now i'm not working and just a mummy for now, I see things the same iykwim!
So - that is why I iron underwear and muslins. :D I need the end result of crease free bums and burp cloths.

    Mrs Moc - she's beautiful.

Weezl - stop showing us pics of your wonderful creations - you'll make us all feel like carp mummys!
