  • I was thinking, reading the story thread, that most births seem traumatic :( I wonder why that is?

I think it's just such an emotional/painful thing that everyone has a particular thing that goes wrong, either medically wrong, or some reason they couldn't stick to their birth plan, or DH was away, or they didn't get on with MW or whatever... I don't think I've spoken to anyone who doesn't have a bit of drama in theirs!

My scanner question was - when you pick your payment options, voucher and debit card are both on the list, so what do I do when I've paid for half the shopping with a voucher and he other half with a card. The answer was either scan the two halves of the shopping sepearately, or just bung it all through as a card payment. Guess which way I shall proceed!

  • Izzy is STILL asleep ... we've lost the routine today, so afternoon nap started about 3pm. She woke up briefly - I heard her switch her baby jukebox thing on, but I was half way through washing up, so left her to it while I finished, and when I went back in she was off again. Normally she would have eaten tea by now, but never mind. Will have to get DH from the bus in 15 mins, then we are off to the allotment, so she will have to eat al fresco while we are there instead!

Hopefuly she won't end up staying up too late now - she would normally be in bed by half seven or so, but I'm not sure it will happen today. Maybe we can get a nice long bath together before she gets tired instead :)
