Hi MTW, how's things? Enjoying mummyhood?
Hi elle!
Yes I am loving being a mummy! I know it sounds stupid, but I feel that being a mum is what I was meant to do with my life. Although I did have a few "dark days" right at the beginning, I am enjoying it so much now.
I was so proud of myself yesterday as I managed to clean the bathroom, it sounds silly now, but as I am getting back into a normal routine I feel more in control of things.
And she now officially "exists", as we managed to get her registered yesterday! So my job for today is to register her with the docs etc. I will get DH to do all the tax credits/CTF stuff on the weekend too.
I haven't managed to keep up with this thread though, but I will make an effort to try to keep up with all the gossip!

ETA: When Rhys was born he was covered in downy fluff and we wore it off his legs and arms where we were stroking him through the holes in the inci! He's still got fur on his shoulders, so cute!
Toby finally lost his 'fuzz' at about 10 weeks. I thought it'd never go! He still has a tiny bit on his back, but he was like a little fur ball when born!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Doing really well, thankyouNow we've been home two weeks, I really need to get into more of a routine and make sure I have everything round the house done. I'm still impressed with myself if I manage to keep the kitchen tidy and the washing done! Remembering to eat, on the other hand, often escapes me..

We're still not dressed here, having a lazy day. Rhys has been BF again but it was more to keep him quiet while I was waiting for his bottles to sterilise!
Having a bit of trouble getting him latched on, well, getting his mouth in the right place.. He's taken to bouncing around, sucking randomly wherever his mouth lands until he gets it right. Was easier when he was little (okay, littler!) as his neck wasn't so strong but now if I try to guide him he can duck out of the way!

We don't put any food into Benjamins mouth...although I keep having to stop hubby from putting it into his hand - baby needs to be able to pick it up and put it in their own mouth (they can't do this with small things like grapes until MUCH later).My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I wanted to ask about Bouncy Chairs...I stupidly read the back of Benjamins yesterday and it says that it shouldn't be used once the child can sit unaided.
Benjamin is sitting now...although not usually for longer than a minute and only usually when I amuse him with something (although he wants to sit up all the time).
He loves his bouncer...it keeps him occupied for ages playing with the teddies so I love it too. I have got no hope of keeping up with you guys when he has to stop using it
So - when do you stop a child sitting in a bouncy chair?Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

:eek:I've just realised I'm soo ungrateful, I completely forgot about the big gifts we got

Our cot, mattress, bedding, pram, car seat, travel cot and travel bouncy chair were all bought with money my mum won on the Lottery between Nov and May but she refuses to let me count them as presents from her cos she says it's not her money she spent on them
All I've bought is the crib (which still hasn't turned up!), play gym, play mat, change mat, bath and all the clothes, nappies and wipes..0 -
