I AM BACK!!
Some big changes have happened. I have moved so my living costs are lower now, however the flipside being that now that I am on my own I am currently trying to be as sociable as possible. So I might not be the most obidient money saver, but I am definately going to try to keep some good habits going.
SO for the time being....what have I missed, has anyone learnt anything in the last two months that has been genius and I have missed it? If so let me know!!
:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Taylo your cheerleaders are happy to see you!! Is it time for a new Statement of Affairs from you? I suppose I ought to as well.
I've learned something .... Sarahb's 'Single and in Debt' thread is great fun. Most of the posts are absolutely nothing to do with being either single OR in debt, but who cares when you have wine, shoes, cats, nights out, etc. to dissect.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Hi Fire Fox, and cheerleaders, especially that cheeky tiger third from the left. Thanks for stopping by. Statement of affairs in very basic form is Rent 400, bills 60, neither are negotiable as now in a flatshare situation. Still have to pay 100 per month for service charge on my flat. Paying circa 130 per month on loan and credit cards which as posted early on I want to attack one at a time. Earnings are 1000 per month basic but bonuses can be anything on top of that really. End of this month should be about 300, end of next month closer to 800 or so i think. I know it sounds quite comfortable but it has only been like that for the last month, and for the last three I havent had any bonus at all. Still there should be some room for some bill paying in the coming weeks, although I have a couple of snowboarding trips I need to find some money for as well!
Small victory of sorts today, found out I am not going to be able to get a glastonbury ticket, bit of a kick in the nads but means I dont have to pay £50 i don't have for it! (i wont add it to my total!)Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Oh and didnt spend any money today so £4.28 of the £10 i spent on food for the week is accounted for.Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

NSD again today, so £8.56 of the £10 accounted for, should hopefully start making a dent tomorrow as I still have at least two days worth of food left so hopeful of putting some of the remaining weekly budget towards the savings pot. Other than that not really had time to do much else. Hope everyone is well!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

Don't worry!! I am still here! Sorry for absence, I have been really busy, unfortunately not coming up with ideas to save money, quite the opposite in fact, was away for a few days with the boys so have spent a little that I shouldn't have done, but had a great time and it was planned for - I will however not add anything to my total for last week as I clearly didn't save anything!
However, managed to get hold of my Abbey bill from September and can knock £9.73 off, or rather add it to the total - so you know what that means....? See ya later Argos bin, you are done. and £5.03 towards the next item on the list - will have to grab my list to find out what exciting thing I can target next!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
It is (drumroll please....) £25 to the giant party shop for hiring an old school Batman outfit to go on a canoeing weekend with the lads, and £5.03 off it means only £19.97 to go!!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

I know the answer to this question, but I am going to ask it anyway... I am due a phone upgrade, my current phone works fine, I can A) reduce my contract down to under £10 a month from it's current level of about £30, or I can
increase it to £35 and get a shiny new iphone. Now I know what i should do, but I want one i want one i want one!! - It could be a pretty easy way to save £20 a month until my phone goes kaput!

Ok two bits to add, made about £15 or so from Wink bingo sign up promotion, that should be through in a couple of days so will add to total then, also decided against the iphone and reduced my monthly bill from £30 to £10 instead, it was the right thing to do, until I eventually upgrade my phone, when it eventually breaks, I plan to put the extra £20 that I save into the savings pot. So nothing to add right now, but some things for the pipeline.Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

Are you out of contract? If so you might be able to reduce or maintain the call plan AND get an upgraded phone. I'm dropped to £12 a month and the newer version of my Sony Ericsson, but my mate somehow wangled a Blackberry (so last year) for £15 including unlimited browsing. There are entire threads on the Phones board devoted to this so you might get inspired.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
