My GOD car insurance is boring! Spent ages running quotes to find the cheapest and then took into account cashback managed to get it sorted for £175ish which was great considering I have always had to pay £300 odd for all the other cars I have ever had, old age does have its benefits I guess!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

Yep, well the new wheels have only done 17000 miles in 12 years so it is in the old category but maybe not the banger just yet!
Going for a drink or two after work, shall try to restrict it to a couple!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Ok, been MIA for a couple of days so a quick update of what has been happening..... Went for a couple of drinks and managed to restrict it to a couple, but also sat down and had a curry too so overspent for the day on friday, but you have to live your life too so I am not too worried about it. Picked up my car yesterday, nothing fancy but will get me from a to b which is the important thing, got £50 pending in cashback from the insurance so that willl eventually filter through and pay something off this credit card in a couple of months time. Little bit of matched betting yesterday so should get about £7-8 around tuesday from that, and couple more ebay sales should net me another £8 or so. So nothing to knock off my totals as yet but a bit in the pipeline!
Gonna pop off to a car boot this morning to see if I can find anything exciting!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Today has been the lowest day in my entire life. Not only am I in negative equity, have credit card debts that need clearing, earn just about enough to meet bare minimum living costs, but now my girlfriend, the love of my life, has decided that it would be better if we went our seperate ways. I am beyond gutted, just feel totally empty. Wondering around my flat just not knowing what to do with myself, can't stop breaking down, when my brotehr called to see if I was alright I couldn't even get my words out. Just totally empty. Sorry for the depressing entry on a motivational diary but if I can't talk I thought typing might help.Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

Aw Taylo.
I've been lurking a while, but couldn't read and run after that post!
I'm so sorry to hear that. :grouphug: What horrible news.
Take the day off work tomorrow, look after yourself instead, baths and good food and whatnot.Do you need it? Yep. Really? Yes! How have you managed for the last 28 years without it? Erm....

I AM BACK!!
Apologies for my absence, as you could probably tell from my last post my life got turned upside down. However, here we are two months later, a line has been drawn in the sand and I am ready to get myself back in order again.
Some big changes have happened. I have moved so my living costs are lower now, however the flipside being that now that I am on my own I am currently trying to be as sociable as possible. So I might not be the most obidient money saver, but I am definately going to try to keep some good habits going.
SO for the time being....what have I missed, has anyone learnt anything in the last two months that has been genius and I have missed it? If so let me know!!
I am going to go off and make a list of aims for the coming week or two.
(and thank you so so much to all who have sent me messages of support and posted on this thread, you have no idea how much it meant to me!)Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Ok, just did a bit of totting up from the bits and bobs I did before I went off the rails slightly, if I include the amount paid off by my August bill then the total to come off the debt at this point is £70.29. This means the T-shirt and very soon the Bin can be scrubbed off the list. I know I still have Septembers bill payment to add to that and Octobers should be along shortly too so back to what was a positive start again. Right, still trying to get back up to date but getting there slowly. Have budgeted for £30 per week for food again, have spent £10 of that for next week today but managed to take care of lunch at work for at least 4 days and two evening meals so should be able to divert some of that to finish off that bin! Have not had time to get back onto the matched betting as yet but will try to make some time this week for that although am away next weekend which doesn't help. Done some revision today for a professional exam I have coming up, trying to make myself as valuable as I can to the company and as employable as possible to other companies while I can. Am going to snoop around the boards see if I can pick up any ideas for knocking some figures off those totals. Need to get my sky+ box up on ebay as well as don't need it now I've moved out of my flat!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110
