Do you think people would want to do it?! I don't think many of my ideas have been classified as "good" before! It would need a good title to get people interested wouldn't it.... the one item at a time challenge doesn't seem too catchy..
Anyway, stealing an idea from primula, and probably loads of others too, I have around £60 left of my monthly budget which basically just has to buy me food and any social stuff. So £30 per week is 4.28 per day. Being as I haven't spent any money today I guess that means I can put that towards my total and take on that damn t-shirt!

Stop Press! Just checked my online banking a a) was over my overdraft limit on my house account, but managed to catch it in time and transfer some accross from my main account to get it back in credit again but b) £5.42 paid in from Betfair, granted it is a small amount but hopefully can keep adding to it!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

How did we ever manage without online banking?!
How about starting a 'name that challenge' thread? Bit like name that tune but perhaps more suited to message boards. I think it's a cool idea to pay off one item at a time, tho no idea how you remembered that £25 was a t-shirt? :cool:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I buy clothes for myself so irregularly that I just knew that the entry for that shop would have been that T-Shirt - sad in so many ways! Think I will make a bit of progress on my totals so that I can show people that it works and maybe start a challenge at that point.
Work is dragging today, but going to go for a run at lunchtime so should feel a bit more positive after that!
Ok run has made me feel in pain as oppose to positive, but I am sure there are benefits... they will come in timePaying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Hi Taylo, like your idea of thinking of the debt in bitesized chunks - make it less daunting! At least you still have the t-shirt in question - I spent years paying off stuff that was either long-since chucked out, or languishing unloved at the bottom of the wardrobe! I think there's a new 100 day challenge starting soon if you find yourself consistently overspending on the same old tat...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Hi tete en l'air, thanks for saying hi and giving the page a more continental feel to it, the T-shirt is still hanging around and thankfully still gets the odd run out as well so i guess I have had my moneys worth out of it a long time before I have paid for it! Is it easy to earn from DooYoo? How much time do you spend on it to make £10 per week?
Have not spent any money again today so am putting the food budget of £4.28 accross to the pot and means I am now ripping into that T-Shirt debt pretty quickly, quite strange how quickly that can happen, but then I spose on the days when i have to buy food it won't seem quite as easy...Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110 -
Dooyoo... well my target is £10 per month not per week (tho some people probably earn that), and as you can see I should be somewhere nearer £70 at this point, so I'm not doing too well! I just use it as a treat fund though so it's like free books every now and again.
The important thing to remember if you're going to join is not to 'churn' out loads of 150 word reviews in order to make the 50p fee you get for each one. The regulars in the community don't like it and they will stop reading and rating your reviews. Take some time to write something a bit more meaningful, it doesn't have to be thousands of words, and to read other people's and rate them - every time someone rates a review you get an extra 1.5p and it's a give and take type set up, if you rate theirs they'll return the favour. Once you reach £20 you can withdraw this in the form of an Amazon voucher, or you can take it up to £50 and claim a cheque. It can be quite time consuming so I lke to do little bits while it's quiet at work (shh).Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning folks, am psyched for another day, am on a late shift today and then got football after work so probably won't get chance to post later on. Am thinking I should be able to add to my total again today though as cooked loads extra last night so have got food for the day sorted already and only had to buy milk this morning so only 89p to come off my daily food allowance. Next few days might be a little more difficult as the cupboards are starting to look a little bear. Had good news this morning though, should never make assumptions about what something in a text or on facebook means, 9 times out of 10 you will have misinterpreted it, the relief is beyond comprehension so I am happy for the day now!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

I've put the bite-sized debt challenge thing on the main DFW board titled the itemiser, hopefully it will help some people, although it has disappeared way down the board already so we shall see, might just end up in oblivion!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110

Ok, catching up from yesterday, 1) Legs are hurting hugely from run on tuesday and then football last night, I am a wreck! 2) bought milk 79p and a snickers 75p(!) yesterday so £2.74 left from daily food budget to add to my debt be gone total, adding up quite nicely, the T-shirt will soon be gone and then onto the next item!
Gotta try find something to eat in the cupboards tonight as I have pretty much exhausted the place in the last week trying not to spend money! Still got my tesco voucher to make use of, probably at the weekend and won a quid on scratchcard yesterday so that will build up and can be added when I get to £10, think I am at about £1.70 at the moment.
Got to do some research on a business idea tonight that I am quite excited about so pretty keen to get home after work and get cracking, is always more fun when you have something to focus on I find.
Good luck today people!Paying it off one debt at a time!B&Q £12.40 / £93.110
