I've also had to deal with head lice yuck yuck yuck they have taken up residence in both my childrens hair - thank goodness for the summer break as somone in his class keeps bringing them in and as soon as they get cleared at this end we have a break of a couple of weeks and then the little blighters are back again, I'm thoroughly fed up with them

Can I suggest a bottle of leave in conditioner or detangle spray with a few drops of tea tree in it. Just spray on every morning before school (once you've got rid of them that is). Seems to work for DD1 as she's not had them in ages which is unusual for her! LOL

Oh yes... and I have to make a Charlie & Lola birthday cake for a 2 year old for Saturday? Any ideas? I don't normally do characters... I thought I'd make a 9" chocolate & vanilla layer cake, cover it with white sugarpaste (or maybe pale pink?), then cut out sugar paste shapes and stick them on, layering them where different colours are needed.

Can you post a picture when it's done? Would love to see the finished cake.

Have been a busy bee tonight and done lots of filing and shredding, well above my 1/2 hour target on my list. So another heart is needed please Soappie.
    1. [STRIKE]Go for a run[/STRIKE]....Gone twice this week.
    2. [STRIKE]Half hour filing[/STRIKE]
    3. [STRIKE]spray mouldy bits around the bath with mould spray[/STRIKE]
    4. catch up with the ironing
    5. List 2 things on ebay.
Just need to clear the lounge floor after my filing and shredding then off to bed. The question is do I dump all the washing on the floor with a view to clearing it tomorrow or sort it now? Think the dumping idea might win!

    Night night. x

I'll try to... I know I can put them on FB with the rest, but haven't got as far as putting them anywhere else (obviously I'll have to make sure that someone takes a picture of it, as I don't actually have a camera at the moment :o something I need to sort out sometime!)

Well done on your filing! I'm with you on the laundry. It'll still be there tomorrow... I'm about to restack my floordrobe on the chair so I can get into bed!

    Hi all,

Well OH didn't come down as expected so I made a start on the cupboard at the top of the stairs instead of the bedroom, as getting news drawers (chest of, not pants) at the weekend to give me more storage. I threw out loads of junk and found about 5 pairs of glasses (I got laser treatment) but can't throw them out, have fond memories of having blurry vision!

Anyway also decluttered some V+, did anyone watch Hope Springs on Sunday, it cut off at the end cos of the golf? Watched it on Catch Up and it cut off too! Need to know what happened in the last five mins! Anyone?!

Off to bed now, having trouble sleeping this past week, and have had weird stomach cramps, not sure what that's all about but nite anyway xx

Valli you are so funny! :rotfl::rotfl:

Serena, the fruit of your labours looks delicious, you should be proud of all your hard work

Hope Natty is ok and that her DH is looking after her properly

re these points - I have had a copy of my reference and my sense of humour is mentioned - and it is NOT what I asked for TBH I told the boss I wanted hime to put I was a pro active problem solver...

    I envy Serena her trug!

Hiope you're ok Natty and BEING LOOKED AFTER

I am rather cross (and that's putting it mildly. I found the DVD remove PLASTERED in sellotape - as apparently it needed to be taped up
nopt entirely although the battery compartment cover is f***ed (fiddled with -:eek: can they NOT LEAVE STUFF ALONE:confused: and now the thing that holds the sellotape in the sellotape dispenser is missing:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
have found the empry reel (because I have been through the flipping bins) and it's not there - so goodness knows where it is but without it the sellotape dispenser is useless - and it is a really useful sellotape dispenser. DD was hauled out of bed - for unusually it is she who has meddled and mislaid it.
I know it's not a BIG thing but why oh why do I have kids who fiddle and meddle. I am sick to death of sellotaping remotes back together because they click the battery covers instead of switching on and putting the flipping thing DOWN and leaving it. DS is usually to blame - he has a biro in his hand then a minute later he is gazing at a pile of components he is incapable of replacing and wondering what happened...
    It drives me mad!
    ***breathe***
    no madder than that
    ***breathe***breathe***
    ***and calm***
sorry but it is all so pointless and I am sick to death of having nice things and being skilled with superglue...becaue they are thoughtless...

Ration them... one for finding the inside of the sellotape dispenser... and then make up a list for the rest!

Re. the remotes - confiscate the lot and make them walk to the TV. As for the nice things, I can only suggest that you don't get any more nice things until they leave home

Mkae a list! I have just collected laundry and have returned (thrown) items back into both their rooms because I am not unfurling socks and I am fed up...
He didn't lose the sellotape dispenser - and I have STILL hidden the FR!
I have printed out a terse notice to stick on the laundry basket they can have their laundry back if they can't be bothered to put it in the basket machine ready! I won't run out of knickers cos I do the washing
    muhahahah

I am DALEK MOTHER - evil personified!
ps DVD remote hidden...shh it's in the scarf and gloves drawer so no chance they'll happen upon it unless we get a sudden ice age...
