  • Ohhhh - I thought I was doing much better - i decided to S&S the oven and hob in the last HHC as I keep on not doing this job. Anyway it was predicatably yukky so I even took the switches off to clean underneath and then started on the grill/top oven - gave it a good clean with some of that white paste stuff and then found I couldn't shut the door :eek::eek:

I really don't know what I have done - it looks like the bracket on the right hand side has slipped out of the runner but cannot seem to put it back. It has two parts to the bracket and the left hand side one is firmly fixed but both the right hand side ones are loose. The top bracket seems to drop down as the door is raised and seems to block the closure - Note the panic here..........

Has anyone ever had this happen before - there are two screws on the oven above and below the hole where the brackets go into the main unit but I am not sure if I will do more damage by touching these....

I would be so grateful for any advise as I have no money to call in special bod to help....

    Thankyou

    Panicky Me
