  • I have been working on DS statement with him sort of helping - I know he should do it himself but he won't - I have been nagging since January..... I decided that it will also benefit me if he goes to Uni this September and as he got better than expected grades of DM on his BTEC it is worth a go at this late stage.

He has found 2 courses at Southampton that are outside broadcast and another course at Brighton (site at Hastings) that looks at media post production.

The only difficulty I have is that I cannot remember writing a personal statement for my degree and I am coming a little stuck in giving him advice - he has been a really lazy toad and has done no activities outside of college that could be used to pad out the Statement.

I am sorry to off load but I have no one else to discuss this with....:o

Will need to go and have a shower as we need to go to Mr A again - no food in the house - freezer nearly empty as well. DS has jumped n the shower first  So I will go and write a shopping list and then wash up lunch things before we go.

Washing did dry on the line, so it's now in. I need to put away some of the stuff from the airing cupboard to make room for it.

I'm going to have something to eat first though (chicken stock, noodles & spinach) and sort out my bedroom. i don't feel great (headachey mostly) so skipped the gym... it's a good thing I went for a walk this morning ... so I think I might well be having an early night!

Hope you feel better soon Natty. Go to bed and make sure you drink lots of water/tea/diluted fruit juice. If OH is quarantined, tell him to do all your jobs and leave food/drink outside the bedroom door, but not to come in!

Well I am really happy with that hour spent cleaning. Almost finished the list. Actually quite disgusted with how dirty my fridge/freezer seals were :o but happy that they are now sparkly. Also did round the inside of my WM door and seal so its all nice now aswell. Will be hoovering in the mornig so havent swept or mopped floors and as I did a big shop yesterday with the intention of making soup and cakes the fridge is full to bursting so will give it a good clean once I have done the cooking. And as for the hob and oven. I barely use my oven these days what with the SC and things so this didnt take 5 mins - hob would have been a different story but had given it the once over at the weekend :D
PLUS - WM loaded and ready to go on (got a timer so I always wash throug the night cos I on E7) and DW on now making dishes all lovely!!

Heading off now to make a :coffee: then going to sit and watch Eastenders

I can pm you my personal statement if it might help? Or at least give you an idea what to add? It is a bit boring but it got me in Uni!

DRESSING ROOM DOORS........!? Oh how the other half live :rotfl:
Only kidding wish I had enough space for the doors never mind the dressing room :o

I love my little dressing room! It was the nursery when we moved in but I'm not down with all the breeding lark..yet...plus my partner works nights and I get up at 6am so it's great to have a separate room for make-up application, noisy blow-drying session, my accessory mountain..

    Hi tootifruities,

Thanks very much for the welcome PM...

I am ashamed that I have not done anything today... Had been out all day and had to do cleaning in the evening but I am down with fever now...

    Hopefully tomorrow
