"I have to admit that many of you have been a bit slapdash this week. So many of you have made a late run at the stars and stuff. The real Toots, I feel, would be disappointed in you and would probably have made a comment long before this.

The whole idea of the weekly lists is that they are done - or as much as possible is done - on the days they are posted. That way, the weekend is relatively free."

    Sorry
    Helen x

Let's see'f we can all do better next week people before the real Toots gets out of hospital.

Jo could you not divert your freecycle into a car boot/yard sale to give you some 'mad' money?

I dont know - definitely something to think about....there are a lot of posts for car boot stuff on freecycle, so I could possibly sell other peoples tat and reap the benefits!!

Well done Jo. The housing benefit is as important - I see Queen Waitrose has already mentioned it. What happens about your P45 in these circumstances? I hope they don't give it out including the pay you didn't receive. Do you have the tax man on your list to talk to? Have you told your parents yet?

I have no idea about the P45 to be honest....One of the first people i need to talk to on Monday is the administrators....they help with all of the forms to claim my pay, my redundancy and compensation which i am also entitled to as I didnt get any notice.

One of the questions i need to ask about is my p45. I couldnt do anything about the housing benefit online. I will ring them first thing on Monday.....they are at the top of the list!

I have told my mum and my sister, but not my dad yet. My little one was at my dads when I called, so I wasnt able to talk to him much as I dont really want the little one to know. He doesnt need to know these things.

Anyway - I am back from my friends where we went for dinner.....it was FAB!! we had the most fabulous food.
    Update to 1330.

I have to admit that many of you have been a bit slapdash this week. So many of you have made a late run at the stars and stuff. The real Toots, I feel, would be disappointed in you and would probably have made a comment long before this.

Sorry - I feel largely responsible for distracting everyone!!!!

Next week, I have no excuse for not flying - Monday will involve lots of calls and running around, but its not like i have anywork to do so theres no excuse for not keeping up!! :rotfl:

Thanks for all your messages - youre all so good to me, Im so lucky to have you all x

Worked at 2nd job tonight - a bit glum because was meant to be out for friend's birthday but I've finished too late to go out - back at main job at 8am.

Sometimes it feels like everyone else is out enjoying themselves while I graft.

Re not rolling lists over to the weekend - I wish I had the time to get everything done during the week..sometimes I leave the house at 7.15am and don't get back in until 9pm, brief re-acquaintance with fella before he goes to work,
eat tea, make packed lunch, shower and bed. Rubbish.

    takeaway eaten

    friend gone home in taxi

I don't know if that's a real word.! oh not faroff look what that oracle of wisdom has to say!

apparently I have promised to take DS DD and neice to Blackpool to go on the Pleasure Beach so offto look for codes...

Jo what I meant was (re the booting, which I hate) - just at the moment you need to draw in the drawbridge (even if you don'tmake a lot it's better than nothing) and cannot afford to be generous - so e bay and car boots are your friend right now as JS is not enough to live on although you should get rent paid so not all bad - I had a mortgage so it was a bit horrific when I was unemployed. On the plus side I decorated. We are here whn you want to vent.

My first thought on seeing this word was: WhaWhohaa?

I wonder if we can change the meaning of Saponificaceous to something complimentary if we use it enough? It will stop meaning what ever it means (I'm so tired my brain actually could not take in the definition altho it registered that it was something to do with alcohol) - we could decide what we want it to mean, and constantly use it in that context until nobody knows it ever had another meaning.

In the context you used it in, I imagine it to mean sedulous, assiduous, diligent, and beautiful, someone who is beautifully diligent, or who performs tasks so well that everyone believes they are wonderful and they do things without ever grumbling, they are eternally gracious

Cake went down well. Had a lovely afternoon/evening out catching up with friends. Came home, put the DW on, cleaned the icing off the kitchen (it needs a proper clean tomorrow) and I'm just going to put the WM on a hot wash with cleaning cloths/tea towels in, and then I'm off to bed.

I need to catch up on exercise tomorrow, as the last few days have been pretty poor.

Jo - I'm glad you've had a nice time with your friends. It's important to make sure you don't spend all your time on your own thinking about the problems. You need a break somtimes. I'll try to spend a bit of time looking at your CV properly tomorrow.

Valli - why are you still flying at this time on a saturday night

I'm shattered, so I'm signing off until tomorrow!

it means (well it would were it a proper word) soap-like!

not flying just reporting in guv!

cos when I went to clean LR DS snuck in like a phantom and nabbed the PC

so IF and its a bigger if than that more like if I do kids rooms tomorrow I would get 5 stars! Oh and my room but I have flung
    2 pairs ripped trousers
    1 brown jewelry box (UG)
1 little rabbit ornament (grandma brought it from my sisters for DD but she doesn't want it so *FLING*

and obviously it would have been ill-mannered to report in while I had a guest. Although I probably owed much of my impetus to her imminent arrival as all rooms she might walk through needed SOMETHING doing.

my weekly challenge 5 will be -
    DONE

Dont think I did too badly for my first week and as I have said time and time again - my bedroom is one giant hotspot so will take a while to get up to scratch!!:o
Wasnt about much last night as there was a fight outside my house last night and I ended up calling the police. Was peeking through a window for a while but when I saw a bottle/can being flung at someones head (and it hit him just above his eye) I decided enough was enough!!

Got work this morning  (paying back some time I owe them from DS being ill) so wont be getting much done today.
So far have emptied WM (cant hang out as its peeing down), had shower and decluttered a cuppa but will report back tonight. Have a good day y'all........
