I know but i don't feel like i have come far really, i manage a few days with no contact and then give in and get upset or angry with him or me.

Like today he hasn't replied to a text asking what he did this weekend so know i am wondering what he did....:o

You have come further than you think.

Do you think it would be easier not to text him. You then won't be wasting your time and emotions worrying about if/when he will reply etc etc. He obviously doesn't text straight back and probably knows you will be sat there waiting for a reply,

I agree with doddledo - I know it's hard but try not to contact him, you need to start moving on and accept that what he does is nothing to do with you. I don't mean to sound harsh, just want to 'see' you happy again

I know hun, i do try not too and i am fine for a few days then i just do it

He was supposed to come see me and the cats last week and he didn't and then he said he would come this week instead so i was going to text him Tuesday or Weds and see if he would be coming but i know he won't.

Its probably good he doesn't come round but the last time i saw him i was drunk, soaked and crying as i decided i just had to see him so he came to pick me up and brought me home as i was walking to his in the pi$$ing down rain and yeah was just begging him back so wanted the *probable" last time we see each other to be a bit more normal.

Your last post sounded so sad :mad: but l still think you should break off contact, at least for a while until you are stonger emotionally

I know i really do but its so much easier sad than done, i know i am not the only girl in the world to have her heart broken but its just so hard after living with him for 5 years and i was with him pretty much every day since we started dating until we split its just so hard not to hear from him.

As i said i just wanted to see him on a more normal setting, last few times we have spoken i have got upset or he has and i just want to be normal with him, to try and prove i can, maybe more to me than him though, just don't want him thinking i am a nut bag after happy times together

That's why l think you need to stay away until you are more stable - at the moment you are not ready to be 'normal' with him

I am friends with a couple of exes but it takes time and hard work - I couldn't have done it within 2 months of splitting, and in both cases the relationships were shorter than yours

I cant see us ever being friends, the odd text maybe but not friends as it would be too weird and i am too much of a jealous/emotional person to be friends with exes.

He did text me back again though saying hes just watched films all weekend which is quite believable for him.

Just annoys me 4 members of his family have contacted me this week but he won't reply to messages.
