Asda Pay As You Go
Options
is Asda keeping its mobile phone service a little quiet? At 8p a minute for calls and 4p for text it suits me down to the key pad. And, if there's a competition for the best customer support, they must be up there for winning that one. It is only pay as you go, and there's no free phones etc, but for light users it is a win win situation.

Tesco Mobile Lite PAYG is the same price structure as Asda.
Also, always had very good customer service from Tesco Mobile.
AND you can log onto your account and set preferences. Such as being able to stop unsolicited text messages (charged @ £1.50 a time) from being received by your phone.0 -
ASDA mobile is ported by Vodafone and we have very good reception where we live.
Tried TESCO and about the only place to get reasonable reception is outside the store.
As with most things. Try before you buyI used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -

Thanks for that.
This is perfect for me.
I didn't know who to contact to change, because I recently changed to the new tariff with the tripled credit (I am staff so I get even more free credit) but I don't use my phone anywhere near enough to benefit from it.
I used £3 of last months £45 of free credit before it dropped off, but since it has dropped off the few calls I make are more expensive (20p/10p)and I can't go back on my old staff tariff (10p/5p) because it has been withdrawn.
8p/4p is even better. :T0 -
If you phone 4455 from your Tesco phone and speak to an advisor then they will carry out the switch to Tesco Lite tariff. It could take up to 48 hours. The only way you will know if you have been transferred to the lite tariff is when you call 282 and the bundles, and 5 favourite numbers options are missing, this also applies to my tesco mobile on the website.0
