    Brilliant. Keep them coming.

One of my favourite recent snippets on Aviva was Igal Mayer cold calling Peter Cullum on a Friday and haughtily announcing that he had cleared his diary for him to see him on the next Monday.

Don't forget if contemplating Aviva for motor insurance their unusual and punitive £200 extra excess should you have the timerity to want your car repaired at your own garage, and not at their repairer:
If following a claim your car needs to be repaired and you decide not to use our approved repairer then an additional excess of £200 applies. This excess will apply in addition to any other excesses under your policy.

Thats a good point and also an example of Aviva thinking their market share means others will follow them. They tried the same on deleting DOCs increasing commercial excesses etc etc. They still have not realised that their competitors laugh at them, keep the status quo and rub their hands at the extra business they gain. Then usually Aviva quietly drop it
  • aviva sounds better than norwich union lol

in 1999 i insured my motorbike with them , and after putting the biggest fight i cancelled and got my money back from the muppets.
Since then, when i have looked to insure car, bike etc aviva has come up cheaper in few ocasions but i ve run a mile lol and opted to pay more elsewhere

Without too many details, I have had to issue small claims proceedings against Aviva. A driver insured by them hit me, car got repaired fine but I incurred a number of costs in collecting the car. Aviva refused to pay me back even refusing to accept a receipt I supplied!!!

They are appalling, customer services never answer, Aviva do not care about "the little man".

Aviva are hoping I go away - wrong answer.

Aviva should be ashamed of how they mistreat customers.

If the Aviva Coy rep is there - feel free to PM me and I can vent my story with her..............................

Presumably to lick his boots and offer him 30% commission on his account. Unlike the days when Cullum and Patrick Snowball used to sort it out like gentlemen - on the golf course.

Im so glad I spotted this, was seriously contemplating my car renewal quote with them...

Didnt realise it was NU in disguise as my parents had a terrible time with their house claim for a small fire

You must have missed the many many adverts they had on last year annoucing the change. They reputely spent £9m on one of the adverts featuring Bruce Willis and a load of other celebrities. There marketing department will be pleased the ads passed you by

One of my favourite of their adverts was them making a big play on you would not be a name or a number with them but treated like a person. I'm surprised the ASA did not investigate that one!

I'm not able to PM you, due to MSE rules of me being here (they like us to try to sort out as much on the board as possible, understandably).
I am sorry that you feel we mistreat customers, that is certainly not the intention, if you'd like to email me, I am allowed to point you to the email address on my profile.

    More aviva speak.

Where are you pointing? What are we supposed to be looking for?

At least your inbox won't be too stretched!
