Another AFD for me - touch and go up until the last I looked liek a mad woman wrestlng with my brain.
hope all is good
Budgie I may go for NO afd's and then beat you.......
Or -31 and then I will beat you before i start - but I suspect Miss P will put us on the naughty step for longer.........
This so reminds me of the yorkshire man sketch from Monty Phython..............Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Good morning everyone!
Fay - Silly! (and thats all I've got to say on the matter!)
Budgie - Mmmmm...I could say something about that being very sneaky, but seeing as its you I'll let you get away with it. So your target is 1. But woebetide you if you don't reach it!!!
:rotfl:
Winebox - I think you've scared off our lovely GC:rotfl::rotfl:He's probably scared to turn the computer on :rotfl:Happy birthday to DD for today!
GG - you made me laugh about your hoovering. Funny because I always used to open a bottle of wine to get me through the ironing. So the first few items were always ironed nicely but deteriorated from then on!:rotfl:Glad to hear you are still AF. Are you finding it ok?
FH - Glad to hear you have made a new friend. Its always lovely to make new friends, especially ones we really connect with.
Jo - 28 for me please
**Waves** to everyone else!
Off to have our hair cut today. May ask her to do Piglets. I normally do him with the clippers but I sort of had a go at his fringe with the scissors recently and it looks sort of...um....odd. Am sure she can sort it out!:rotfl:He'll curse me if I do it when he's older, I'm sure.
My lovely Mum gave me a present yesterday (apart from a bag of shopping as she knew it was the 5th week in a 5 week month for me, bless her!). Its a childrens party cakes book. Its lovely!! I have a massive urge to run off making and decorating cakes now. I love my Mummy!:happyhear
I've got myself into a bit of a situation the weekend. It was a girl at works birthday on Tuesday and she wants to go out Saturday. We were going to meet up in a pub and then go for a curry and I thought loads were going so it wouldn't matter too much if I bowed out. Unfortunately she's not sure WHO'S going so it may just be me and her  I don't want to let her down but I don't really want to go. Evenings out at the pub seem a lot less attractive now I'm not drinking. Says a lot for my friends eh? I do hate it when I get into these situations. Wish I had the gumption to say "no" to begin with! Argh!
Anyway, I'll stop wittering on. Hope everyone has good Thursdays - downhill to the weekend!
Miss P

Hello there :hello:
Its been ages since I've posted but have been lurking of late
Can I please join again for August? I am away for 2 weeks so realisticly I think 16 AFD's may be achievable!! Miss Piggy can you please put me down for that?
In the last few months my alcohol consumtion has gone from bad to worse, for no reason really other than I don't seem to have the ability to say no  but what with financial worries and constant tierdness which I know is linked to my drinking I really have to make changes.
Right Im off to read back over the last few days of the tread to see what you've all been up to and be inspired

:beer:Morning all :hello:,

Morning everybody :hello:
I know what you mean, Miss P, that is a difficult situation to be in. You could make your excuses but then you would feel bad about letting her down - perhaps compromise with 'just a quick drink' and drive to pub and back?
London yesterday was great fun. We went to Camden (very lively, all markets taking place), then Portobello Rd (market only there on Sats - oops, should have checked!), then the V&A (I told the DDs there had to be one educational visit included in the day), then walked to Knightsbridge, then tube again to Carnaby Street, where we met Mr PIR, in London for work meeting, then dinner on Charlotte St, then train back home! So very successful trip - and only a very slight amount of rain. DD1 then went clubbing when she got back - don't know where she gets the energy, but she passed her driving test this week so she's on a high!
I had some wine when we got back home - but not too much - but that means I've missed my target by one day - It was the holiday feeling and all that ... I hope Jo still gives me a jumpie cos I'll have done very well overall ...
Have a good day everybody. Raining here yet again ...
xxTotal AFD's May-December 2009: 178 ie 73% of total days (245 days)
Target January: 25 actual: 24 Target Feb: 22 actual 22 Target March: 26 Actual: 24 Target April: 25 Actual: 50 -

Hi PIR
Glad you had a good time in London.
Yes, I will be driving Saturday as am not drinking anymore!:j So think I will just go to the pub and then make my excuses and slope off. Hopefully others will turn up for her to go for a curry with !

1. Your sobriety comes first
2. If the tables were turned, would you want her to come out and keep you company if she didn't want to? If the answer is no, then don't go. She is a big girl and can look after herself- you have a month of being AF under your belt. And you don't want to give it up for anyone/anything0 -

Bhb hope you and your family are ok? If you are lurking then just a little post to let us know how you all are? I know this is an awful time but we are all thinking of you. (((())))) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks Budgie
Sorry for my absence. I have popped in a couple of times but haven't really felt like posting.
AF last night so only 5 please Jo
Still no news from the post mortem so still unable to move on and get things sorted as no certificate yet. Vultures getting worse, now communication with the wretched beasties is minimal to zero ! Some people are so weird! Either that or they have a funny way of dealing with grief !
Mrs BHB and her brother seem now much closer, which is one positive. Have also made efforts to get a bit closer to my brother (who is also an Alcoholic....big time, though he has been sober for a few months and things are looking up for him)
Will have a read back but may takes a few days :rotfl:
I did notice that WB is cuasing havoc again though
Hope everyone is OK
Best wishes
Andy
