Hi all,
For once, this is a quickie-ish post! Hoorah!
Last night, I decided it would be ok to drink half a bottle of white wine, as some friends came round and I hadn't had any dinner when they arrived. Before dinner is the danger time when I'm most likely to cave in and I did.
So I stay the same on the board YM, which means it's now impossible for me to reach my target AFD's for this month.I could have fibbed about it, but what's the point of that? I would only be lying to myself.
And I will probably have a couple of tipples later today too, as it's my last day with my current firm AND in my current career EVER, as I am totally changing profession :T :T:T HOOOORRRAAAAAYYYY! (Not hooray to drinking, but hooray to leaving my current career!)
Hugs to all and have a great day!

Morning Paulo, welcome
A quick joke:
On a beautiful summer's day, two English tourists were driving through Wales .
At Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyllllantysiliogogoch they stopped for lunch, and one of the tourists asked the waitress, 'Before we order, I wonder if you could settle an argument for us. Can you pronounce where we are, very, very, very slowly?'
The girl leaned over and said, 'Burrr gurrr king'.DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Good morning team,
On the subject of mediums, I haven't been, but my mum went. There is a large gap between me and my two older brothers, and Mum went somewhere in the middle of that gap. At this point her family was complete, and there were to be no more babies. The medium told her she would have another child (me - complete mistake I might add), and that she would be very ill afterwards - she had a stroke not long after I was born.
I steer well clear of that kind of thing. My Dad died a few years ago, we were not on the best of terms, well actually any terms, and I am not sure I want to risk a cross world humdinger of a row. I don't think he would be very proud of me anyway - he was very judgemental.
Back to cheerier things, another AF day yesterday please YM. What a job! That despite DH having a terrible day at work. He is also doing really well, and yesterday's trickiness would normally have seen him coming home clutching a couple of bottles of wine, so I was steeling myself when I heard the key in the lock, but no.... We are both learning, and I was so proud of him.
Hope you are all having a sterling day. Must do work, must do work, must do work...

Fifth day of 100 day challenge and still feeling ok! Noticing a different on the scales too. I would be silly to put the lardloss down purely to the lack of beer - I'm aware it was a big chunk of my calorie intake, but because I'm carefully monitoring how I'm physically 'feeling' as the alcohol leaves my system , I'm also paying close attention to my appetite. I'm waiting until I'm actually hungry before I eat, rather than just eating 'because it's lunchtime'.
I'm also not rushing off to the kitchen everytime I get the first hunger pangs either - I'm waiting for a bit an building up a bit of expectation of the food. I suppose I enjoy teasing myself. And I'm trying to stay with fresh, home cooked food rather than junk. So the cumulative effect is quite impressive (so far)
I'll be honest and say I did feel like a drink last night. Cycled to climbing wall, had a really good climb, and then the routine is to pass a pub on the way home and have a few pints with the climbing buddies. Made a few excuses, explained about the 100 day challenge, and said I didn't feel strong enough at the moment to sit in a pub with a lime and soda.
Tiny bit of a pang, but felt proud of my restraint as I cycled home.
