YM - When did you last drink? (If you don't mind me asking). I don't see my life without alcohol as boring, far from it, i actually find the thought exciting, i'm also a much nicer person when i don't drink. I think if i can just get through the first month or so then i won't think about it so much. One day at a time i suppose.

Winebox, when I heard my brother was expecting a baby I went out and got wool and got my old baby patterns out and was raring to start knitting again. I haven't done any knitting for years. Then I found I couldn't focus on what I was doing and it was straining my eyes! I had to go to Specsavers for a test and ended up with reading glasses. So my new nephews cardigans and jumper have ended up being quite expensive for me!!!:p
However, I knew I needed an eye test and had been putting it off before. Glasses don't bother me and I realise now that the reason I can't see the tiny number on my watch showing the date is because of my eyes and not because the watch manufacturers have made the numbers smaller!:rotfl:
Im a bit annoyed this morning. I ordered 2 pairs of jeans from the New Look website with £4.95 express delivery on Monday (my local New Look stores never have my size). My daughter then ordered a load of clothes from the same website on Tuesday with express delivery. I was woken up at 7.30 this morning to the postman delivering my daughter's clothes. No sign of my jeans!Ive emailed New Look to ask where my jeans are and to request they refund me my express delivery charge. I think its Royal Mail at fault though. Useless. Not the first time Ive had a Royal Mail Special Delivery item go missing.

16th August ( Not that I am counting). The key is in the last bit. One day at a time. It is often mentioned on here but soooo true. I try not to think of events that are coming up only I will not drink today.
Something has just clicked in my head ATM and long may it stay there
I sometimes look at myself from the outside, as others may see me, and see how silly I look gulping down beer, sneaking out to put it in the recycling bin and trying to hide how much I have drunk. If it is not a problem why hide it

BB.
I have to wear glasses now for driving and CPU work. I am afraid it is a sign of old age coming on . Mind you I remember driving for the first time wearing glasses and it was like being in a 3D film. The signs were so clear and were jumping out at me
God knows how I did not hit something before. Must have been my male intuition for driving
