Today will also be my 3rd AFD in a row - hat-trick night and feeling confident at the moment!

Okay, now he's just rung and said he might be going out for the duration and DD1 might be going round to his mates to babysit. I was waiting for him to come home to get me some petrol as it's flashing empty and to buy us food in Tesco as we haven't really got much in. Now he wants to order pizza for us and go out boozing sooooooooooooooooooo jealous

Although......pizza  OR I could cook the lasagne that's in the freezer for the kids and get Chinese or Indian when they go to bed   ;)

Problem being though, I'm home alone, all to my own devices

On the plus side, library rung today and said that that Marion Keyes book is in so I picked that up on the way home, nobody told me it was so long!! Also picked up a couple of trashy Jackie Collins to keep me going :D

The book's really good - once you get into it, you'll not be able to stop turning the page. Love Marion Keynes - she's so warm and funny. She's alcoholic - writes about it in Vol 1 of Under the Duvet, really worth reading.

  • MP - That sounds very simlilar to what happened with me when i had done my 98 days AF, although nobody stopped me, and frankly i don't think i would have listened if they had tried to. Well done!

Jo - The Indian idea sounds great!

jo - be strong, think of me trying to score the hat-trick tonight, and think how much better it will be to "me too" in the morning?

    You can do it!!!

I've read her first couple when they came out years ago, reading one at the moment (title escapes me), it's okay, but not an obsessive read so might leave that one and start the new one tonight, please let me stay sober, I'm actually really scared, how f***ing stoopid

  • Hey Jo,

I'm here! You seem to have been enjoying getting into reading this past week - can't recommend Marion Kayes highly enough. Reading her stuff is like having a friend talk to you.

Take the opportunity for a night curled up with the book - choklit, hot choccie etc.

Do you have to go to the shop now? Could you not pop over early doors before brekkie tomorrow?

    xx
  • Hey Jo

Dont beat yourself up about what OH is doing. Concentrate on you. Get some tea sorted out and if you have to go to the shop take just enough for some milk. Perhaps some for Chocolate if needed;). Dont be tempted by the beer. Ignore their whistfull cry and tell them you are stronger than they are and you DONT need them.

Beside OH will feel like !!!!!! in the morning ;) You wont :D
