Despite OH saying that he fancied a drink tonight, I managed to resist. Drank a hot cordial instead! So, AF #2...

Gien, what you are experiencing is the dreaded wine bells ringing. It's a very familiar sound on here. There are various theories how to 'surf the urge' when it comes but some sort of displacement activity is the norm. The bells get quieter sometimes but rarely (in my experience) stop completely.

Miss P thanks so much for link. I've saved it ready for my return from hols.

Budgie, that poem is wonderful, certainly brought a smile to my face, thanks.

I'm pleased with myself this evening as I watched OH drink a whole bottle of red without a twinge. It wasn't a favourite of mine (I sniffed it and didn't fancy it at all:D) and I managed fine. He said he planned 2 glasses a night instead of beer but I'm sure he'll rein himself in soon. Heard a few bells this afternoon when I was drawn to wine aisle when buying milk but it passed. Normally I do one shopping trip a week and just buy my planned ration but I'm buying bits to see us through to going away.

Sorry to hear about dreaded nits. I'm convinced they 'like' some people more than others and definitely girls moreso than boys. I think it's because they play more head to head, chatty games than boys and are more likely to have flowing hair.

Well done to everyone managing AF tonight :A and pleased to say that includes me!

    2AFD please YM.
  • Morning everyone!

Look at the time! Why on earth I'm up this early I have absolutely no idea! OH got up at 5 to go to work and I sort of stayed awake once he'd gone. By 6am I'll be wanting my bed again :rotfl:

Still on 1 YM but should remedy that over next few days.

Quite chuffed - 2lbs gone this week (7lbs in total). :j

Busy day today. Having hair cut this morning, Piglet to nursery for 1pm and then me and Mum are making my brothers birthday cake this afternoon before I go to work. Probably just as well I'm up early!!:rotfl:

Maman - well done in not indulging in OH's bottle of wine!

    Miss P
