Will just have to put a line through this weekend. Lots (not counted or known) Friday, similarly poor discipline on Saturday.
One bottle of wine and two beers Sunday, and exactly the same yesterday.

Determined to have 2 alcohol free days before the weekend.

Well done Miss P and the amazing scoring for August.

Dinnae fashe yerselves hens and loons, nae mare scots today fir ye lads and lasses :)

(Translation - Dont worry young women and young men, I won't speak scots anymore today for you boys and girls)

:rotfl:No 'scotch' for me last night - :) - hard for me to write in Scots cos although I am Scottish - I have a raging English accent cos my daddy was in the forces. :rotfl:

Goodluck YM - nice to see you up early to crack the sept whip.

OK Question - how many of us have NO alcohol in the house today?
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

  • Good morning all!

Pinch, punch and all that malarkey!!!

If anyone wishes to see the final scores for August they are on page 140 (I'm being lazy this morning)

YM - thank-you for taking over in September - good luck keeping track of this rabble! Must admit, it will be nice to read posts without madly scanning for peoples AF figures!

Fay - I don't have any alcohol in the house and I'm confident on being AF till the weekend. Not sure about the weekend yet though.

So sad Angel - well done on the 3 AF days!!

:hello: to everyone else!! (just can't do budgie-style posts...I run out of steam!!!)

Well, back to normal after BH weekend. It had its highs and its lows. Neighbours were fitting new bathroom all weekend so lots of masonry drilling etc. It gets OH in a right tizz and its HIM that winds me up more than the noise!!

Piglet goes back to nursery at 1pm now schools are back. Bliss! Gives me a few spare hours to catch up on stuff.

    Have good Tuesdays everyone!

    Miss P
    xx

  • Happy September everyone. It feels like New Year doesn't it, as there's been so much posting about wanting September to begin and fresh starts, so "GOOD LUCK EVERYONE FOR A HAPPY AND HEALTHY SEPTEMBER" :j :j :j

I went to my AA meeting last night. It wasn't in the most salubrious of places I have to say (it's in a different venue when it's Bank Holiday Monday).

Felt decidedly nervous walking to and from the car, especially on my own in the dark. There were lots of "loiterers" (who always make me feel intimidated, regardless of whether or not they are harmless) and some drunk bloke (how ironic) shouted to me from across the road, which freaked me out even more. I couldn't get into the place fast enough, I was frantically pressing the buzzer on the security gate!!

Anyway, meeting was very good. I had a bit of a rant actually and it was good to get some things off my chest. I'm going through a resentful stage, where I'm p*ssed off that my friends and my brothers are going out getting mullered and having a great time (or so it seems) and that part of my life is no more. It almost feels like a bereavement in a way. How bizaare, but that's how I feel. Plus I am still full of shame and remorse for how I have treated my OH over the last few years and I'm trying and not succeeding in coming to terms with that too.

Everyone at AA was very understanding and I know they have been through this and more. It also helped that someone said I don't yet have the "tools" to deal with my emotions from staying sober, as I haven't embarked on the "steps". Which is true, so I am attending a step meeting on Wednesday (it's in a nice village at a church venue, so hopefully I won't feel like someone is going to mug me!)

Anyhoo, I'm optimistic for this month. I am aiming on beating my AFD pledge of 27, but time will tell.

The thread is pulsing along at a rate of knots, isn't it! It's been hard to keep up over the weekend. Goodness knows how I will get on when I go away for a few days in a couple of weeks!

Hugs and love and good luck for September,
    Caz

    Morning all:hello:

Had one of my strange dreams last night. This time it involved you lot:eek:
We were all taking part in "Come Dine With Me" in the "Big Brother House".
It was quite strange entering the house. Some people I recognised immediately from the pictures posted on here : Fay, Jo, Miss P, BHB , Molly Polly looking like a young Diana Dors. PIR you were very tall, very glam & very beautiful.:D Budgie you were teeny weeny ( this made Me realise that I have no idea wether you are tall or small:rotfl:)

I arrived with my 3 boys in tow as I couldn't get a baby sitter:confused:. To my surprise DH turned up. He had recently signed up to the site with the user name " scotch on the rock" ( I know, I know). I was annoyed with him as he was cramping my style.

My 3 sons were following the lovely Lurkio around as not only did he look like David Tenant ... HE was actually him. He brought along his assistant Donna (aka Catherine Tate) . this was Winebox:rotfl:

All of a sudden my eldest got very excited, laughing , clapping, jumping up and down and pointing.

YM had just arrived and he was .......

I'll tell you after I make a coffee.

I love those dreams! Where you wake up and it's like it actually happened :rotfl:

I'm hoping to hear from Mr FH soonish. I don't want to be sat at my desk worrying about it all day. Mr FH is in such a state about it all. He didn't have any dinner last night, just sat slumped in front of the tv after storytime with DS1. His little face is so sad. I'm not sure how he'll cope if the news is bad.

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o
  • FH,

Sending you lots of (((hugs))). I am keeping everything crossed for you.

    Love
