Hi all
Haven't been here since Wednesday morning and 12 pages have appeared:eek: Sorry no time to read them all but seems like you're all having fun and keeping in touch.
Not AF myself since Tuesday. Today was planned but yesterday was a bit of a **** it day. Was out for lunch and circumstances meant we ended up in caff rather than pub/restaurant. I know that if I hadn't met my target I would have been AF but instead compensated for AF lunch by drinking in the evening.
Away for w/end and firmly off the wagon. Hope to be back Tuesday. Have a good weekend everyone:A0 -
Hi all,
Slept pretty well last night! Only seem to need 5-6 hrs when 'AF' to feel quite refreshed....(!) My gouty leg seems a lot better (still limping a bit but compared to Monday night/Tuesday when i could not walk at all it's great) & painkillers working well. May well make the journey from W.Yorkshire to Cambridgeshire in an hour or so to see my sis & then detour up to Norwich to see my best mate who had twins a week ago (well his GF did!)..so may not be posting much today/tomorrow! 5 nts AF!
Hope you're all ok!0 -

Had a wee glass of wine again today - seem to be managing the controlled thing as desperately want to avoid hangovers, but worried that the nightly routine is creeping back. Might think about setting an AF days target for Sept.
Had to share this...best jokes of Edinburgh Fringe.
The Top 10 jokes were judged to be:
• 1) Dan Antopolski - "Hedgehogs - why can't they just share the hedge?"
• 2) Paddy Lennox - "I was watching the London Marathon and saw one runner dressed as a chicken and another runner dressed as an egg. I thought: 'This could be interesting'."
• 3) Sarah Millican - "I had my boobs measured and bought a new bra. Now I call them Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes because they're up where they belong."
• 4) Zoe Lyons - "I went on a girls' night out recently. The invitation said 'dress to kill'. I went as Rose West."
• 5) Jack Whitehall - "I'm sure wherever my dad is; he's looking down on us. He's not dead, just very condescending."
• 6) Adam Hills - "Going to Starbucks for coffee is like going to prison for sex. You know you're going to get it, but it's going to be rough."
• 7) Marcus Brigstocke - "To the people who've got iPhones: you just bought one, you didn't invent it!"
• 8) Rhod Gilbert - "A spa hotel? It's like a normal hotel, only in reception there's a picture of a pebble."
• 9) Dan Antopolski - "I've been reading the news about there being a civil war in Madagascar. Well, I've seen it six times and there isn't."
• 10) Simon Brodkin (as Lee Nelson) - "I started so many fights at my school - I had that attention-deficit disorder. So I didn't finish a lot of them."

Morning everyone.
AF again yesterday, hoorah. On day 19 now (with 2 slip ups - "mulligans" do you call them??).
I've discovered orange & passionfruit J20 topped up with diet lemonade in a pint glass - it's gorgeous. J20 isn't the cheapest, but it's a delish treat and is helping to keep me off the booze, so it's money well spent.
My OH is moody and snappy with me at the moment and it's p*ssing me off quite frankly! My days are hard enough trying to stay AF without being spoken to like a child too. It seems that me just being around and breathing is annoying her. I raised it this morning as I'd had enough (not arguing, I don't like to argue and neither does she) and she flatly denied that she ever snaps at me and that I was being silly. We were getting nowhere, so I've had to leave it at that. Not happy about it, but what can one do, eh?
Next time she snaps at me I will just have to boot her in the a*se or something!!:rotfl:
Going to the cinema tonight I think. It's been SUCH a boring week, we've done nothing exciting at all. That's gotta change.
Hugs,
Caz
