    Hello all

    Bit of a sad day in the Piggy house today. One of Mum and Dads dogs had to have x-rays on his legs this morning as he kept falling over (he's 12 years old). Turns out he has a large tumour. Mum and Dad are going to the vets after lunch to be with him when he's put down. Everyone is so upset. They have had him since a puppy. He was Dads first racing greyhound (and a bloody good one) and when he retired he came home to spend his time lazing round Mum and Dads house. He was lovely and I'm very upset. Had to explain to Piglet which was awful. He and Drew were best friends! God, who'd have pets eh???

    Hope everyone is ok. I will probably be AF tonight. Just want to go and bury myself under a duvet (I don't deal with death very well really)

    Miss P
    xx

    Really sorry to hear that Miss P - we've got a dog and they are really part of the family - it's horrible when they go.

    Stay strong and take comfort in the duvet....

  • So sorry to hear your news Miss P.. Hard time for all the family. I have two labradors and one has just recently been diagnosed with lymphoma....they are our babies and we would do anything for them. We have her for now but know that the time will come sooner than it should. That said, there is no way we would have let her suffer if it wasnt possible to try treat, so at least your lovely doggy had a great life, was very loved and isnt going to suffer.

    xx:cry:
  • Oh for goodness sake. Monkeys, now giraffes! I'm outta here :rotfl:

    Before I go though, sorry about the poor dog Miss P. That's so sad.

    Oh and before I forget Miss P, it's really, really nice for you to put down that I've achieved my target, but I haven't (yet ;))

    Much love X
    Need to start again :o

    Aww Miss P - I've just been through this and I know how upsetting it is for everyone and it made me think why do I have a dog for a pet and part of the family. I thought more about the happy life my old dog had and all the places we went to and all the walks we went on and this helped me once the grieving calmed a little.

    Right, really need to get a shufty on, done nothing all day.

    I'm blasting out 1985 on the jukebox, just made the kids some cheese on toast and shoved the pork in the oven as I'm doing Jamie's 6 hour slow roasted pork :drool:

    Oooh, Huey Lewis & The News has just come on the jukebox, I feel like sitting back and watching Back to the Future now :rotfl:

    :naughty::naughty:

    Off to tackle the kitchen (bathroom shall have to wait :rolleyes:)
