Good morning all, and congrats to all who achieved their goals last night.:j
DH duly came home with not one, but six bottles of wine last night, so my bells were clanging like monsters, and it was a close run thing, but the bottle was opened and 125ml was in the cooking, the cork was replaced and it was replaced in the fridge. Phew!! I was however in bed by 9.30!
Sam and YM Thanks for being so magnanimous about my dear hoops. Well done to you guys. Sam, how did you do in the pub last night?
BB - this is completely left of field, but you haven't by any chance changed your lightbulbs to long life eco ones, because I did and itched dreadfully for a month. I then changed them back and lo and behold the itching went....
Cazza - Well done on the weight loss. I feel that my jelly belly is shrinking but haven't weighed myself - next job maybe....
Gromit - hope the iv went well - was thinking of you.
Fay and Miss P - I am a complete grump most of the time, but as you say it's a different kind of grumpy now. Can we do AF and cheery - now there's a new challenge!!
Right, must do some work. Have a great day, and I am up for AF tonight.

MOB~love that! Jelly Belly :rotfl:I got me one of those too.
Infact, I'm the heaviest I have been since 2001. The year I went to Greece and ate enough Mousakka and drank enough beer to sink a ship
When I was pregnant, it took me until around 6 months for people to notice. I was actually losing weight, not putting on! No wine calories
Much love XNeed to start again0 -
Sorry I can't remember if you said this already but are you taking milk thistle? That will clean your liver. I hope it's nothing serious anyway.
Ive looked into taking milk thistle but it says that one of the side effects may be diarrhoea and didn't want to risk this. I have a sensitive stomach and have to be careful what I take. So I thought Id wait until Friday and see what the doc says first. Thanks for your post.0 -

No, same light bulbs as always. Thanks for the suggestion.0 -
MOB - It went good thanks. People didn't really seem to notice i wasn't drinking as they were all quite drunk by the time i got there.
Having to listen to the same stories over and over again where every detail was exaggerated though got very frustrating and tedious after about an hour. I'm sure if i was drunk too i either would have found the story fascinating or wouldn't even have noticed it was being repeated. Funny old thing alcohol isn't it. I'm definately better off without it.

Hi all, I just wondered if I could re-join you all.
I don't think I have had 1 AF day (apart from last night :j) since I skulked off before. I was doing pretty well before and just blew it. Usual excuses, stress, party time, celebrating any day of the week really.
Now I have definitely had enough, my relationship of 5 1/2 years has just ended and I know at lot of the reason was due to the alcohol and the fact that i am a total B***H when drunk.
Well I have had long hard look at myself and have to admit I have had a problem for years, but enough is enough.
I am on 1 AF day and plan on many more. Can I join the August challenge please and pledge 13 days?
I must say even though I haven't been posting I have been lurking every day and I find you all very inspirational and I think just reading every day has helped me make this decision. Thank you to all of you
