Morning!
I stayed AF yesterday too, despite my "wobble" and feelings of irritability. Congrats to everyone who was AF yesterday too. :A :j :j
I got on the scales this morning and I am 5 POUNDS LIGHTER!! :T :T :T
That is from 9 days of being alcohol free - nothing else. OMG! I've not dieted, I've drunk full fat fizzy pop to try and cope with my cravings for booze and I haven't stepped up my exercise (yet - I am planning on doing so very soon). So I am well chuffed on all fronts.
I am thinking of Gromit and I really hope his interview goes fantastically well.
Miss P - don't go mad on the dieting, everything in moderation (that's a "do what I say, don't do what I do" from me!!!). Make sure you keep your energy levels up with lots of nice healthy (ish) food and keep hydrated, particularly if you are cutting down on drinking at the same time. It's a lot for your bod and your emotions to cope with, just on the drink front alone.
I have an interest (hobby-wise) in nutrition, so if anyone wants to chat about food and healthy eating, I would be delighted to help if I can. I like to feel useful sometimes!;)
Aiming for another AFD today (my 10th consecutive day). Got some delish zaalouk and pittas for lunch, yummy yum yum.
I am going to an AA meeting tomorrow evening - another new one! I have decided to try different ones on different evenings, to see how they "feel". Monday meetings are a definite. I'm going to get to know what all the different meetings are like, that I can get to easily, so I can pop along at the drop of a hat if I am feeling "wobbly". I'm aiming to attend 2 meetings per week and obviously more, if necessary.
Hugs and love,
Caz

' morning all. Well done on AFness yesterday everyone.
I feel very positive when I first wake up. I don't feel brilliant because of poor sleep but I tell myself tiredness will pass more easily than hungoveredness (??). However that is soon replaced by a sinking feeling that I'm going through it all again tonight. Summer has arrived here today (one day only, special offer) so I'll be craving a drink in the garden later I know.
I'm resisting munching when AF as I'd love to lose some weight. Flatter tummy when AF and I'm not putting any more on but that's about all. Must get some exercise in at some point. Who's rellies (in-law) are the ones who call her 'that big woman'. That was appalling - can't have that
fay I'm glad you are staying on your project but shouldn't they be more supportive and offering help due to your confirmed dyslexia? You sound as if it feels like a stay of execution.
snowy, I'm curious who's going to be checking your receipts. Is this someone trying to help you cut down or are you being very OS as a family and trying to cheat?
Sending vibes to gromit as I type!!!0 -
Caz - Well done, you're doing great!AF since 06/02/20100

Will be AF today as I have my first day at work today after my 2 weeks off. Not on nights until Friday maman. I like nights cause it is quiter and gives me chance to catch up
.
Have taken note of 69chick and Jo's total for Sept so if anyone else feels that they are ready for next months total just put it down and I will take a note. I am going for 20 in Sept myself ( Must write that down)
Cazz great news on the weight loss. I could do with some off my belly so hopefully that will start to happen. More like Peter Purves than Peter Andre on that front
sam. Good result for your lot last night although Celtic were unlucky with both goals.
Fay...Field trip sound so exotic. Hope the weather is good
Budgie...You seem to have gone through a lot and dealing with lots of stuff ATM but still find time to come on here and your posts are so well worded and you remember everyone. You are an absolute star :T
Hi to everyone else and will catch up later hopefully

Thanks for everyone's positive thoughts. Its going to be a long wait till Friday to find out my results and, of course, I expect the worst. My OH says my itchiness is due to being allergic to washing powder or something and my SIL (she's also my best friend) says its down to stress. I think they don't want to think it could be my liver. I haven't been stressed lately though and I haven't changed washing powder or anything so I don't think its that. My parents are heavy drinkers and are in their late 70's but it doesn't necessarily mean my liver can take the same punishment as theirs.
Well done to those who are AF and cutting down and well done Cazza on your weight loss!0 -

Sorry I can't remember if you said this already but are you taking milk thistle? That will clean your liver. I hope it's nothing serious anyway.
Good to see you again Budget Babe.
:hello:to any new people.
I am doing uselessly. My GP wanted to put me on heavy duty sleeping tablets as well as the heavy duty anti-depressants but I didn't want to take them so I'm using alcohol to help me sleep so I can't see me doing very well this month with AF days again. On the up side my sister is coming round to see me tonight so that it something for me to look forward to.
I hope everyone has a good day. It's hot and sunny here.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000
