Recently booked two week holiday next July with Thomas Cook. Today received a revised invoice, saying We are now flying with Monarch. Apparently Thomas Cook have cancelled their flights on a Saturday - Why???
We were lucky because the agent 'de-packaged' the holiday through 'Flexitrips', otherwise we would have had to go on the friday instead. - It doesn't make sense to me.0 -

:jyeah:j, we are booked for next August, really can only travel out on one date due to National swimming gala ending 7th August in Sheffield, so flying out on 9th and returning 25th! an odd number of days but we booked with hubbies travel industry discount (well 3 of us did eldest is flying home early to get exam results so had to book him seperatly although he is on the same outbound flight), I kick myself for not booking with them before did not realise the discounts we could get in school hols - work in a school so this is the only time we can go. We got 3 adult return flights with BA for a little less than £1000, the only down fall is that they had no flights into Orlando so flying to Miami - we have done this before and not really a problem certainly if they flights were only just over £300 each, as the only driver I am not at all bothered by the long drive - although will spend the first night about an hours drive from Miami and then if we are up early the next morning will continue the drive then. Just booked a 4 bed villa in Kissimmee for the remainder for £850 for 15 nights really chuffed with the prices, even started looking at car hire - will need a minivan as 3 of us are 6', 6'4" and 6'7" so just find the extra space is a must had a quick quote of £420 so now in major planning mode - WE ARE GOING BACK TO FLORIDA:T:T:T:T:TFibro-Warrior0

Get a 4x4, lots of space and comfort, the minivan has extra seats but not necessarily the extra legroom.
We get one as a treat for ourselves, not that expensive if you book far enough in advance.
Very jealous of your flight prices!;)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Thanks ailuro2 - it would not have occured to me that a SUV would have more leg room, will certainly be pricing them up.Fibro-Warrior0

Been to Florida dozens of times over the last 10 years and I've used floridacarhire.net. Usually best price and cars are excellent if you search online there is usually a further discount. Not sure where they are at Orlando airport but at Sandford its just one desk alongside the big rental firms which has no q's as I think they generally serve the local USA market.
Worth a price comparison if your searching for a deal.0 -

We're annual passholders and save a phenomenal amount. On our latest pass we've worked out that we're going to use it so often each use works out at £5.60.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yep you can get an annual pass. basically it works out if you do more than 10 days on a MYW ticket then an AP is better.
Remember you get free parking and discounts too.
I am lucky as we can get Fl Residents ones with CM discount so its a steal!
