Hi,
Looking for some advice as we have finally got the money together to make it to Florida! Very excited but also very clueless and have been searching through post but probably just getting myself even more confused if anything.
Basically we are able to travel at any time, but preferably before Christmas and with a few weeks notice. We're a family of 3, two adults and one child.
Trying to work out the cheapest option all around based on the below;
1 - We would prefer to fly with Virgin
2 - Would prefer a Villa
3 - Would want car hire
Any advice gratefully received! I've been looking into flights and at the moment they seem to be coming up at around £300+ pp Is it worth trying to book closer to the time of departure?0 -

The £300 is per way, per person. Not looking to travel during the school holidays so the flights I've been looking at via Virgin website have been for October/November time.0 -

£600pp still sounds good for Virgin flights2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Ha ha - I wish I had! I guess it totally makes sense to put the return cost but I'd just been looking at the flights each way so that was stuck in my head! £300 return would be lovely!
£600pp still sounds good for Virgin flights
Good to know that sounds like a good price. Been reading about people getting amazing deals on flights but then I guess that's probably not with Virgin. I've been told my little boy will get a suitcase of goodies to play with on the plane from Virgin which has me sold.0 -

Suitcase of goodies is a massive exaggeration :eek:
It's a small backpack with one book aimed at younger readers, a tube of sweets (small) and some plastic piece of rubbish (think McDonalds Happy Meal). Don't base your buying decision on that, I beg you!0 -
£600 is a lot for a Virgin flight if it is not at a popular time. I'm paying £412/ person in Feb. When flights were first released they fluctuated from £600 but I watched them like a hawk until they went to a price I was prepared to pay. I'm notoriously tight with flights though0

There are quite a few VA flights in November at £520 - I'd pay that for a direct flight. The outbound total is always higher than the return due to UK taxes etc, so the outbound of £300 tends to only cost £210 ish return (at that time of year)0

That was definitely over sold to me then! Still I would quite like to fly Virgin0
