This may be a little like asking how long a piece of string is but...
We're thinking of booking a fly drive to Orlando for Early July 2014 for a family of 4. I know that this date is not available to book yet, but was wondering what the likely cost per person is likely to be? I've looked at fly drives for this July and the price seems to be £800+ each. I've been a few times in the past but the last time was around 6 years ago. This seems a heck of alot more than I've ever paid before.
Any advice welcome:o0 -

Will you fly midweek? Will you fly indirect? Fly drive isn't always cheaper than booking flight plus car
The key is to have a budget and search literally every day (flights for that time period are not yet released; if you are happy to book with a travel agent you'll be able to book a package earlier).
Personally, I would not pay £800 to go to Orlando. We tend to travel in school summer holidays and I've always been able to get there for under £600 each - sometimes a lot under - but I search multiple times each day and book immediately a good price pops up. We go indirect because that opens up many more options for us.
Flight prices have gone up a lot, unfortunately.0 -
Can anyone recommend somewhere to hire a 12 seater with 3 drivers in July for 3 weeks?.0

Can anyone tell me what would be the best/cheapest way of buying tickets if we are staying in Disney and want a 14 day pass for the Disney parks plus a single day in each of Universal, Islands of Adventure and Sea World?
I tried to price up through Thomson and it came to nearly £1000 for the two of us?!0 -

There is probably cheaper than this as it includes Busch Gardens and is 14 days pass for all the parks for £425

Try Enterprise rent a car - USA. They do 12 seaters, but not sure if they do from the airports.0 -

Try Alamo. We had a 15 seater 2 years ago and picked it up from their Orlando Airport depot. Think it was about £650 for 2 weeks inc taxes etc (October 2011).Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!:eek:0 -

Thanks, tried both of these, none of them had 12 seaters.0 -

I've always used arguscarhire dot com for European car hire, and been really pleased - in February we got 5 days in Faro (2yr old Nissan Juke) for £14.85! Thats cheap.
We're off to Orlando next week and they got an 8 seat minivan, 2 drivers, Sat Nav, full fuel (we're touring) for $1200 over 3 weeks - from Alamo.
Always check the small print to ensure that extras such as insurance or fuel are the ones you want and are included in the headline price.0 -
