I've scoured around for cheap tickets, looking at ways of getting the above parks at best value as some tickets are serious overkill.

I've looked at these 2 tickets at orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk

    Disney 5 day premium @ £235

    Orlando 5 Park Combo ticket @ £174

for a total of £409 each for all the parks we need to do.

Is this the best price I could hope for? Cheaper than buying in the US? I'm registered with quidco but only get 2% on a 14day ticket, that with the discount is still more expensive than £235.

You can also get the USA Disney Magic Your Way (MYW) Base tickets for between 3 and 10 days. If you are planning only visiting the above three parks and will not be wanting to visit more than one of the parks on each day or the water parks, then these could be the tickets for you.

(Note that the UK tickets give you the option to visit more than one theme park on the same day (park hop) and include water park admissions as well).

Have a look at orlandoattractions.com/tickets, then under the Disney Worldwide link. You can currently buy a three day Base Ticket plus oneday free for $246A/$226C (approx £160A/£140C), but you can choose to pay in £s at checkout. Note that it also costs relatively little more for additional days (roughly $8/day), so you could add a few extra days to maybe revisit a park in the evening for fireworks/shows e.g. 5 day MYW Base ticket at $261A.

    HTH.

In referance to a previous post about buying tickets that have been partly used,do you not have to fingerprint them ?

I know Magic kingdom and most if not all of the others have fingerprint machines where you have to go through as there is no other way through other than using your fingerprints.
I have been to Orlando six times including twice last year and have always had to have fingerprints scanned.

So I am still not clear as to how people are getting in on other people's partly used tickets.

We were selling our tickets to disney and we asked the man about this and how it works. It turns out disney doesn't take your fingerprints as such, according to him it just records your finger measurements, so you can usually talk your way around it. He also said he'd pay us more if we added a day to each of the tickets at guest services which was very cheap to do (about $10 per ticket) as this meant that the tickets were essentially 'wiped' of all details taken and any fingerprints could be used after this. Not sure how true this is but he was willing to pay quite a decent price for the passes- he said he wanted to take his son.

We're going to Orlando at the end of May for the first time and are staying at Lake Buena Vista. We won't be hiring a car and wondered if anyone knew the cheapest way to get to Busch Gardens.

    Thanks

We are thinking of taking the kids (will be 6 and 7) to Orlando next year or do you think that is too young. What age range would you recommend?

Two can be a bit young, but 6 and 7 are bang on target and they'll have a great time. One thing though, check how tall they both are as there are height restrictions on some rides. If the older one is tall enough to ride but the younger one isn't, will they be jealous?

There's a chart you can check on here:
    http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/height.cfm
Only thing is it is in inches, so you may need to convert from cm.
