Orlando/Disneyworld Thread (Part 3)

I'm visiting Orlando in July but only for 7 days as New York and Chicago are also on the itinerary.
I'm at the stage of thinking about purchasing my Universal tickets but at first glance the multi park tickets (inc Seaworld, w&w etc) are only available for 14 days. Can anyone advise is this is correct or point me in the direction of tickets for 7 days only?
We used Attraction Tickets Direct for a lot of our tickets, sure they have some 7 day ones (although iirc Disney are on 14 for 7 at the mo, anyway).I am hiring a car for this leg of the holiday so also advice on which websites to visit for a car with inclusive insurances would be appreciated. The previous times we've had a car as part of a package including all the add ons which I know are very expensive. If anyone can let me know what the insurances should include as this is a diy trip I'd be very grateful.
We just searched expedia and places for the best prices. Most of these include all the insurances you need (the "damage liability waiver" or something is the part that's occasionally excluded iirc)0 -
Thank you Idiophreak for the pointers.
Its the car hire that is worrying me as I dont want to get to the desk and find out that we're not fully insured and have more money to pay out.0 -
Try Holiday Autos. We've used them a few times and having taken full cover at the outset have never been "bothered" by the desk trying to sell add-ons0

I was worried too, but needn't have been in the end. We got to the desk (alamo) and all they tried to sell us were upgrades. Which we caved on - by driving around in a 3.7l Camaro wasn't the end of the world0 -
I'm thinking of having tickets delivered directly to the UK, but am concerned that I'll be hit for VAT and Florida tax.
Anyone have experience of doing this?
thanks!0 -

I always use park-tickets.com, They are based in Kissimmee but have offices in the UK. Fantastic prices (VAT included) and very good service0 -

Try carrentals.co.uk, last year we got a deal with Hertz via this website with everything included (even got triple nectar points) and we got a free car upgade at the Hertz desk.
Just make sure you have CDW on the car hire
Using them again this year.0
