    Hi all

Just come back from Disneyworld Holidays on 2.5.11. We had a great time. We stayed at Embassy Suites on international drive south. The best hotel. Had a great help from blue_monkey before we went and now i am more then happy to help if anyone has any questions just PM me and i try to help you am no expert but can let you know on my experience. We booked everything separately and it worked out lot cheaper then booking alltogether.

    Thank you.

we are going june 2012 2 adults and 2 children we are doing it DIY and villa is £700 for 2 weeks flights £1800 but will probably get them cheaper and car £300
so around £2800 im saving my quidco for our disney tickets(have around £400 in there so far) you can get cheaper if you do it DIY but i would certainly shop

  • Hi, just about to book my Halloween & Christmas party tickets.

    Any tips before I buy?

Only dates we can go to the halloween party are 28 (our first day there!), 30, 31 of October or 1st November. Is it still OK on the 1st?

For christmas we can only go on 8th or 9th so really need to book quickly!

    TIA
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

For your first day there, I'd probably avoid the party. Those are late nights to get the best value for money, and you are likely to not want a late night as you might be slightly jet lagged :)

31st will be extremely busy as it's Hallowe'en proper, which can make candy grabbing and parade watching more challenging ;) I'd go for 1st, personally.

MVMCP is really really unlikely to sell out for the dates you are planning, so I wouldn't have said you need to rush to book.

In Florida for the rest of May, so will be taking a car across to Orlando to visit Epcot at some point! Any tips? Looking forward to my first experience of a US Disney park, having visited the Paris resort more times than I can count (and given the Disney corporation far too much money!).

DLP is run by a different company to Walt Disney World so you can expect a different experience over there.

The characters are the same and some of the rides are the same but they ride differently, especially BTM and SM. We have been to both, lts of different rides. The parks in Florida are bigger too.

Is it only Epcot that you are visiting? The Magic Kingdom might 'look' the same as the Disneyland Park but it is different, if you are not going because you think it is going to be the same as DLP you might want to rethink that. Even if just for the animatronic characters that sing at the MK :D

Can I ask where you are staying and who you are flying with? Thanks

We are staying in a disney area superior villa and flights are with British Airways. We booked the villa through them too, but you can book villas seperately.
