well it's been nearly 20 years since we were in Florida post kids ( now we have 3 of em aged 11,6,and nearly 2 ) we fly out on 31st May and we are really looking forward to it! few questions for those in the know!
We are staying in a villa, do normal villa rentals have a safe? Also I've heard its a big GAY celebratoins whilst we are there, I have nothing against gays, but was wondering how intense! this gay thing really is? Dont really want be explaining why 2 men or women are kissing to my 6 year old! so if anyone has experience of visiting during this time could give me any pointers I'd appreciate it!
thanks in advance!0 -

Go back to page 161 of this thread - we was dicussing it there. I totally understand what you mean.
Don't ask the same question over on the Dibb, they all lynched me over there when I simply asked what date it was. Honestly, the same day they had a thing we had to tick and agreen on about no bullying other forum members I was subjected to being called all manner of names and mocking me. Half of them were moderators as well. I've not really been on The Dibb since then.0 -

Wow thanks for the heads up, seems quite an issue! Well we will try and avoid the designated days at the particular parks. Will have to shuffle around with the itinerary. We are staying in a villa so wont be in the resort hotel, thank goodness!0 -

Might be worth you going the other parks/days out during Gay Week and then doing Disney when it is all over as it'll be much quieter then.
Enjoy your holiday. Not long to go now.0 -
just been quoted for next May (2012) for £4,400 for two weeks from 26 May staying in Vista Cay Executive Apartment for 2 adults and 2 children including car hire and insurance. Can I get it much cheaper than this bearing in mind no park tickets yet??
ThanksClaire0 -

Not sure where you are flying from but we are going this year around the same time flying from Gatwick staying in a villa 2 adults 2 kids and an infant and we are paying £2500. I'm no expert but your price seems a bit steep! I'm sure someone more in the know will be along soon to advise you better.0 -
we are going june 2012 2 adults and 2 children we are doing it DIY and villa is £700 for 2 weeks flights £1800 but will probably get them cheaper and car £300
so around £2800 im saving my quidco for our disney tickets(have around £400 in there so far) you can get cheaper if you do it DIY but i would certainly shop

Hey! Just wanted to say thank you to JackieBlack for the info on Hawthorne Suites. So very helpful
It's top of the list for me... just need to run through things with my other half and see what he thinks. Hopefully I'll be able to book something before long!
