    What ticket options do you have apart from buying 1-day tickets or 2 weeks package ?

    We are going to Florida in April for 2 weeks, but I wouldn't survive several days in a row in the parks, and with a 4 y.o. there are not that many ride options.

    Ideally I would go somewhere for half-a-day and then spend the rest of the day elsewhere, but I only found this option for Wet&Wild aquapark so far.

    Do any other parks offer a discounted half-a-day options ?

    Or packages which would allow to spend 2-4 not consequent days in the parks over the 14 days period at competitive prices ?

    At the moment I only see the two options - to go to the parks on 1 day tickets (about £50pp) or purchase the disney's 14 days offer ( about £200 pp which will work out the same for 4 days of visits and limit to disney parks only)

    You can buy tickets from the US website. (bottom left hand corner of the UK website you'll see "select an international version".) You can pick 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 day tickets, then you can add on access to the water parks etc.

    The US tickets expire 14 days after first use, so if you think you'll only want to go to the Disney parks for 4 days then you can buy a 4 day US ticket and you'd be able to go any 4 days over your 14 days there.

    However! If you want to add on the park hopper (visit more than 1 of the disney parks in the same day) and the water parks, then it's actually cheaper to get the UK 14 day ticket. You don't have to go to the park every day, but you've got the flexibility that you can.

    I do think you're underestimating the amount there is to do in Disney for a 4 year old though! As adults we stormed round for 2 weeks and still didn't do/see everything :D. I think your best option would be to spend a morning in the parks and then head back to the hotel for a swim and stuff in the afternoon and have a nap and maybe go back in the evening for the parade and fireworks.

    We went with a 3 and 4 year old and never did everything at Disney. It is a huge place and there is a lot to do.

    We have still never seen Ariel or Playhouse Disney shows. Neither did we get to Aquatica. Next time though :D

    Thanks for this, I've got the idea where to start looking now)

    We were in Disneyland Paris for 1 day last month and we all were completely knackered by the end of the day, and that's without the heat. Would really like to do something else there - go to Miami, possibly Bahamas.

    would you advise orlando for a couple, or should we wait a few years till we have kids to take?

    also how long do you think is enough time to go to all the major parks and not die of exhaustion. also have a bit of time to relax.

    was thinking of going to NY for 5 days, then flying to MCO and having a week there and then 2/3 days in Miami?

    It's a wonderful holiday for couples. One of our favourites

    To do all the major parks is really tiring even in 2 weeks.

    Thats
    Disney's magic kingdom
    Disney's animal kingdom
    Disney's Holywood studios
    Disney's Epcot Centre
    SeaWorld
    Discovery Cove
    Universal studios
    Universal Island of Adventure
    Busch Gardens

    Then of course you have 3 waterparks, Kennedy Space Centre, perhaps gatorland, sometime shoping, sometime relaxing and I'd highly recommend a sporting event or 2, we loved the basketball and the baseball was great too (though baseball is a 90min+ drive).

    We had a villa despite the cost for 2 and it was fantastic, we got to parks for opening time, left about 3 and relaxed around the pool/jaccuzi at the villa and then went out for a meal. Went back to 2 of the parks in the evening for fireworks.

    Personally if I were you I'd think 4 days NY, 10 days Orlando forget miami would be a better holiday and skip parks like busch gardens (furthest park by a very significant distance), gatorland (cheap but doesn't compete with the others) nasa (unless you are really interested because it's quite a far drive too)

    We don't have kids! As long as you can release your inner child and just let go then you'll have a great time! Disney is full of people without kids, universal is a little more adult orientated but I've never felt that people look at us. We do avoid Playhouse Disney though :cool:

    might possibly do new york this summer and save orlando for next summer, as i dont have enough time to go for the amount i want to to really enjoy it!

    nothing wrong with that idea, after newyork worth thinking about hireing a car for a week and do niagra falls and seeing some more of the east side of the usa like washington dc perhaps, we did atlantic city too but it's a very very poor mans vegas so don't bother if you have been to vegas or plan on it over the next few years.

    So idea is to get to Universal Studios ready to get in for 9am...... using whatever the fastpass gets u onto, do this that and the other, then leave there say around 1 or 2pm, and then walk across into Islands of Adventure, and using the fastpass, get on all the rides as the park is open until 9pm......

    Apart from legache from walking lots! Is it possible to do this ? Were trying to cram in as much as we can in a few days! My drive from Tampa to Orlando would be fast, but not to the point of jail time! :D:D

    I would say ................. no chance ! To either plan, you just wont enjoy it at all. I've been to Seaworld 4 times and still not been on everything or seen all the shows. You need to allow at least an hour for the Shamu show. Leaving BG at 15.30 the traffic will probably be getting quite busy, i've been stuck in Tampa traffic more than once, you just can't assume that there won't be any delays, then you'll be hitting the I4 traffic near Seaworld at teatime too, it's a really busy area.
    Just take your time and enjoy what you do manage to fit in, thats why we have to keep going back !

    We first went as a young childless couple and were hooked. Went back several years (and many new parks) later with 2 kids and have been many times since as our kids were growing up and with and without my (now) adult kids. We once took my elderly parents who "didn't like fairgrounds as kids, so won't bother with the rides."
    We couldn't tear them away - they said it was the trip of their lives!

    My daughter and BF will be going back to Orlando as a couple in June and me and DH are doing a Georgia and S Carolina trip in two weeks with another couple, but we will be flying back from Orlando just to get a look at Harry Potter and our last night will be watching Wishes Fireworks!
