I looked on another site and it said it says kids under 18 are NOT allowed. http://www.fhr-net.co.uk/lounges/gatwick/no1_gatwick_champagne_cocktail.asp
Where is the shrug shoulders smilie when you want him? Right, back to my duties, time for bath & bed!!
Hi Blue
We've definitely taken our DDs in there - last time Feb 2010 and they were 10 & 13. I thought there was a toddler in there when we were in there a fortnight ago too, though I may be wrong. The price always shows as £20 on the main page, but you can usually get it for £16

Hubby is ill at the moment (had another op yesterday) so cannot sit down to sort everything out probably but we have had snatched conversarions about it.
Price online is £2396 for a Fly Drive with 4 seater mini van and it means I can get into the V-room as it is with VH.
This is turning out to be an expensive hobby. Going to DLP in June as well - we are now shareholders there, LOL. The kids are only young once though, once they get older they'll not want to experience all of the parks, it'll just be for the fast rides so I want to cram as much in as I can. of course, once they have left home it'll be cheaper and we can do and see what we want. LOL.
Great news Blue :T:T0 -

Yay great news! Really pleased for you! Please send your DH my love and say I hope he gets better soon. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Thanks V, I will. Will you be there in Feb 2012 or is it too early to say??
I feel like I have something to look forward to now. Have not booked DLP yet because seats on the ES not released yet. I wish I lived nearer.....
I started getting the photobooks back. If anyone else is interested, check out Bonus Print for making them, the software is fab and they do 2 for 1 every few weeks. I've done 6 books now.0 -
Kids are not allowed under the age of 12 I think unless flying upper class
Im more than positive this is the case, but yeah kids would be £60 too
Thanks
Del
Del, I worked the amounts out incorrectly and she came back with the same as you.
It's £800 difference between Fly Drive and Flight so a lot for the car in all honesty so, we are going to buy the flights (with/without points) from VA.
Use that lounge above to get away from the hustle and bustle of the depature area.
Get the Magical Express to and from the airport.
Then we thought we would hire a small car from Disney car hire place (where is it please - and Viv I remember you gave me a tip about that place, can you remind me), we will not need the space to transport luggage as the ME does that, and then can just have a small car for going out for the day. The last week we'll just 'do' Disney anyway.
So... questions. Do you have to pay to park in Seaworld? Universal is $10. What about Aquatica? Will not do DC this time, hubby wants an airboat ride though - we did not do this lasst time so it is on the list of 'to dos' if we can get there.
Will we have to pay to park in BLT if we are staying there as it is close to MK?
How do we apply for a disabled parking Permit in case we need it.
Now I have loads of questions about being a Virgin US Driver. Have to confess to being a bit scared about it though as the traffic seems to come from all directions!! I think I need to do it as I know it's not going to be that bad.0 -
Driving in Florida is a breeze a lot easier than here in my opinion everywhere clearly signposted, just watch out on the interstates/turnpikes as they can over take in any lane so you get huge lorries flying past you from all sides.
I think the car hire is by the service area as you leave MK just after the speedway track, might be wrong just seem to remember seeing it last time I was there.0 -

Two places onsite: Dolphin & the Car care Centre at MK. We always pick up at Dolphin. Another alternative, just because it then frees up additional rental firms, is to look at "offsite but onsite", which can be better priced. We got a car once from the hotel right next to DTD, so bus to DTD and then 2 minute walk. Can't rememeber the name offhand but can look up if you like?
So... questions. Do you have to pay to park in Seaworld? Yes Universal is $10. What about Aquatica? Will not do DC this time, hubby wants an airboat ride though - we did not do this lasst time so it is on the list of 'to dos' if we can get there.
Will we have to pay to park in BLT if we are staying there as it is close to MK? No, free of charge if you are staying there - that's true of every WDW resort - BLT parking is heavily policed by Disney security for obvious reasons!
Hope that helps0 -
The DTD hotel was the Buena Vista Palace, but it looks like several of the Hotel Plaza Blvd hotels do car rental. The WDW onsite rental firms are Alamo & National so if you can get a good price with them that's great, but the more (price) choice the better so the other firms offer that. A couple are very very easy walking distance from the Marketplace0

Glad you are going again hun... Universal parking is $15 for self and $20 preferred and Seaworld I think was either $14 or $15 self and $20 prefered... or they were at christmas.
With 2 trips again this year I am going to go for annual passes which then means the parking will be free!Bit of a Florida Fan :j

Hi everyone.
Does anybody know whether, when using Tesco vouchers with Virgin, does the name on the voucher have to be the lead name on the holiday booking?
Thanks for your help.Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T0
