Abbza, if you are going September, have a look on the Disney website: http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/ They offer Free Dining plan this time of year and for £800 a week you can stay in a studio in Old Key West or Saratoga Springs which is one of the Disney Deluxe resorts - so they are the highest star rating possible - and you will get full dining plan for free. Because it is one of the best reosrts you get a good plan - one Quick service meal and a snack every day, the info is here: http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp?ID=14

Potentially, as a couple, it's worth at least $120 a day saving on food (and more depending on where you eat!) so the accomodation pays for itself and you can 'save' the meals and use 2 to pay for dinner shows and 'posher' restaurants too. In your room you have a kitchenette so you can have breakfast there save eating out for breakfast every day - the money soon racks up if you have to do this plus tip. You can use the 'snack' credits to buy treats to bring home as gifts (such as boxes of fudge or sweets) You can also eat in Downtown Disney so not limited to eating the in the parks, also the hotels too. I would advice booking though so plan well.

Plus, as a non-driver you get free transfers to and from the hotel with Disney (another saving) and you can use all of the Disney transport so you would save on getting around. If you go to Downtown Disney or the Transportation Centre (got to MK and get the monorail) you can get the Lynx bus to Universal, Seaworld, I Drive, ect....

If you do this, make sure when you do your booking you tell them it is your 21st and also, when you book your meals, call them up and tell them it's your 21st. You'll get something nice wherever you eat. And ask for a badge that says you are there celebrating your birthday. I love taking my kids to Disney on their birthdays. :)

Also with Disney, the deposit is £50 per person and the balance due 8 weeks before you travel so you do not have to pay for it now. You do have to buy your disney ticket through them but you get some extras (such as a meal voucher for Planet Hollywood, free Golf game, etc...) so for us we found it was comparable. A 14 day ticket is available for the price of a 7 day ticket at the moment on their site too.

    HTH.

    Hi,

Looking for some advice, i've been searching for a 2 week villa holiday for late july flying from manchester, 2 adults 3 kids(ages 12, 5, 4) but the prices seem very expensive right now, i knew the prices would be higher than normal as its peak season but around 7k without park tickets or car is ridiculous. I was wondering if i'd be better trying for a late deal closer to the date.

The problem is that you are going peak time - a lot of the flights go early on. The cheapest seems to be leaving a Weds coming back Tues/Weds/Thurs for flights at around 1k each on direct and £700 for non-direct.

It might be worth holding on, depends how desperate you are to get it booked. Have you thought about going for October half term instead?

Skyscanner said no, maybe you can help more. I was getting just short of 1k per seat direct (and there are 5 of them) and then there is the cost of the villa.....

We was going to go next August but might have a rethink as I am not paying 4k for us to get the other side of the water.

    Lost my post! :(
Anyway, what I said was, this was the best I could find

    Your Flights
    Manchester (MAN) to Sanford (SFB)
TCX262 - Operated by Thomas Cook Airlines
Depart: MAN at 11:00 on 28 Jul 11
Arrive: SFB at 15:00 on 28 Jul 11
    Sanford (SFB) to Manchester (MAN)
TCX263 - Operated by Thomas Cook Airlines
Depart: SFB at 17:00 on 11 Aug 11
Arrive: MAN at 06:20 on 12 Aug 11
Who are the lucky passengers , please enter names below
    Price Summary
    Adult
    3 Adult @ £689.00 £2,067.00 GBP
    First Child
    2 First Child @ £689.00 £1,378.00 GBP
    Airport Tax
    5 Airport Tax @ £60.00 £300.00 GBP
    You have saved today...£-200.00 GBP
    Total Price£3,545.00 GBP

but they do add on extras like pre-bookable seats, meals, extra luggage etc.
That quote was for 3 adults and 2 children which the site altered for "pricing rules", but should make no difference.

Also the discount shown is only available till Tuesday.

Not my favourite airline as I said, although i am going with them again based on price.

Why not my favourite? Old planes, poor staff, poor meals and if you ever tried to contact them, you wouldn't need to ask why!

Just a way of getting there for me though. As I said in a previous post I am giving Premium Upgrade a shot this time, the difference in price was only £30pp once we had factored in the extras included- should be worth it for extra legroom alone. We shall see........... BTW Premium Upgrade is being withdrawn by TC in May because of the extra tax involved.
