  • hi there,

does anyone have any villa reccomendatons? looking for villa and pool for 4 adults xx
  • Hi everyone, i am new to this site.

I have just booked 2 nights in leows pacific resort on site of universal studios for the cost of $180 per night which gives us 3 days fast passes unlimited, early entry to harry potter land {8 am} and reduced prices for halloween night $34 each instead od $69 each.
To get these discounts you need an annual pass for 1 person which you buy direct from universal via phone or internet cost about $230.
The room rates can be found on leows hotel website or link from universal studios site and enter APD on booking page.
call the universal park for discounted horror nights upto 6 tickets per annual pass.
Free parking at universal saving you $14 each day you are there.
    Discounts on food and merchandise.
Also if you register as a regular user on leows hotel site you may be lucky enough to get free upgrades.
In total I have saved about $500 including room , parking , fastpasses and 5 horror night tickets. hope this convinces you to stay on site.

ps all the other party members have £76 14 day passes from the uk but gain all the above perks thru me.:rotfl:

    Hi,

I'm looking to book a holiday to Orlando for 2 adults and 1 child (11 years) for this October (yes thats right - this October!!!) and I am struggling with all the various options.

My husband is currently on a 6 month tour of Afghanistan and we would really like to have a family holiday of a lifetime when he gets back (dont worry I'll give him a month or so to get used to family life before I drag him off to spend 24 hours a day with us! He knows about it and its giving him something to look forward too after a particularly tough tour). Unfortunately he cant help me with the booking and so it falls on me to get it right and thats why I need advice! There are so many options and my head is spinning trying to get to grips with it.

We would like to fly from any London Airport and are looking at the last 2 weeks of October or the last week of Oct and first week of November (yes I'm afraid we are taking daughter out of school but they are a forces school and completely understand. She will not have seen her dad for 6 months and he was away training for the 8 months before he went!). After reading through most of this thread we would like to stay at Disney for the first week then International Drive for the 2nd week. Is this feasible? I cant seem to book this on the internet so do you have to phone? Disney looks good but I am concerned about the dining packages? Is it worth paying for it before we go or can we just add this on when we get there? Are the packages worth it? Are there other places to eat as and when we choose?

Also the park passes are next! I think we want the 7 day disney ticket and the 7 day flexi orlando ticket. That should be enough or is it too much?! Where is the best place to buy these from as prices are varying wildly from company to company!

Sorry but I am clueless!!! I have phoned several companies and have got prices ranging from 3496 to 7138.50!!!! Some have flights direct and other have 2 or 3 changes. Is it better to book it as a whole package or should i be trying to find each stage seperately and book it as I go?

Sorry for waffling on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You should have a read of the Military discount thread here..

For those thinking about Seaworld who can't use the above discounts check out a thread on the Disboards for BOGOF tickets.

  • Hi

I will be out in Orlando 24 Aug to 7 September with my two kids, boy aged 13 and girl aged 10. I'm a single mum and just wondered if anybody was in the same boat with kids the same age and fancied meeting up.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.
  • just booked for florida in june 2011 and had a look at the prices for theme park tickets. anyone know how far in advance you can buy theme park tickets because they are bound to increase in price before i go? I did disney last time i went so i`ll probably only want orlando flextickets this time.

    Hi,
Looking to go to Florida early May 2011, or will consider April. Has anyone seen any cheap direct flight deals?
    Thankyou.

Hiya, have you asked on the dibb? People meet up pretty frequently from there. Have fun :)

looking at going to Florida in 2011 - there are 7 of us (all adults) and we are looking for flights villa and car hire anywhere under 30minutes from Disney etc.

We are flexible in when we go - can anyone recommend best time of year?
We are flexible in where we stay - is it cheaper in hotel or villa?
When is best time to buy theme park passes - when we get there or early as possible?

Any other practical advice or links are welcome - last time we went to Florida was 1997 haha
Wins so far - Numerous Glamour and Rimmel Goodies, 4 tickets to T4OTB, Tiling Tools and Paintbrush, Dova Spa Facial, 5 Tickets to Lynx Allnighter (Halloween party)

If you supply a little more information it may be someone here could help.

    How many travelling? What ages?
    Going when? From where?
Where have you got the £5750 from? What does that include?
    Direct or indirect flights?
    Hotel or villa?
Does that include a car? If so, what sort? Insurance?
    Are any park tickets included?
    etc.......
