I have always found the best busy days guide to be http://www.touringplans.com/tp2/UG2_index.php?PageID=14 its from the same people who write the 'unofficial guide to WaltDisneyworld' which I also think is the best guide book. It looks like the current month of busy days guide is free but they charge for a years subscription, which is discounted by 50% if you have a current copy of their guide book (used to be free with a current copy of the guide book). When I go again I will probably pay to subscribe as I like to plan well in advance. Of course if you know someone with a subscription they can always give you a copy of the busy days guide for your travel time.

Sorry if this is really obvious but I just want to make sure before I buy tickets. If I buy the Disney 7 day base ticket with water park fun does that give me 7 days at the parks PLUS 7 seperate trips to the water parks ie. 14 days worth of trips? If so it seems a better deal than the 14 day ultimate ticket that would cost me about £230 more.

If you post a link to the tickets you are considering it would be easier to advise.

Has anyone used Total florida? looking at their flydrive packages for next year, and they seem good prices.

I make it 7 visits to main parks and 7 visits to water parks or other options and tickets expire 14 days from first use so I would say yes 14 visits over 14 days. When you click on 'whats included with your ticket' it says 5 options not 7??

I'm not familiar with the base tickets or this company, I have only bought the ultimate tickets before.

Perhaps others on here are more familiar with the company.

The water parks are really cool, but they do get crowded. And...seven days out of 14??

We had the ultimate tickets (or some sort of equivalent) and went to the water parks early or late, using them as a relaxation between other activities. And it was great to be able to pop into the other parks on a whim. Also the videogame place next to Cirque-that was fantastic. We went there again and again.

You're spending a small fortune to get there anyway. Consider spending the extra-I was glad I had.

The thing about base tickets is that you cannot park hop, which we did quite a lot to be honest.

To me, it seems a very long way to go to scrimp on where you go for the day and not be able to do everything. Somethings are only on certain days, or might be cancelled if it rains. It might be £320 but can you afford to go back and do the things you might miss but dearly wanted to see? I know I like a bargain but I cannot see the point in paying 5-6k, maybe more, for a holiday but to buy the very basic of basic ticket options and not do things to save a few ££. That's the way I look at it anyway.

    Hi all,

We are thinking of going to Florida in mid-September for either 14 or 11 days depending on flight and work commitments.

Was going to hire a car and do a bit of exploring as well as do some of the touristy things. Can anyone recommend an itiniery for us? We would fly in and out of Sanford. Maybe head out to Miami/Everglades or even further South if that's worth doing and of interest.

Sorry to be so open ended, hope someone can help!

    Thanks!

I would visit the barrier Islands of Sanibel and Captiva, thye are like Caribbean islands in flavour and pace, chilled out, and miles of white sugar sandy beaches.
