Why have you picked up on this specific ebayer? Did you fall for paying more than 20p to this seller for a 20p coin?
Last time I checked there were over 3000 items listed under undated 20p - most like this one clearly describe the item offered for sale.
Buyers should learn to read the description. I have no reason to believe the item supplied is not exactly as described."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Very cheeky indeed (!) he's even selling one at buy it now or best offer for £25 :eek::eek:
I'm sure there'll be a mug out there somewhere who'll think they've nabbed a bargain!
Fair dos though and quite amusing!
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!

Wow, they whinge a lot for people who only paid £1.40.
Bet he's kicking himself he didn't ask for more...My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
...However, the title of the listing does clearly say "undated 20p", which it isn't (not that you'd only read the title when buying, of course) but surely the fact that the title says that it should be undated would give his buyers the right to open an "item not as described" complaint....
Maybe you are looking at a different item, but the title of the item specified in the OP is:
undated 20p on headside genuine"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Yeah, I was looking at a different listing. I followed the link to the seller's feedback from terryw and was looking at this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150356856535
It's from the same seller and the title only says "undated 20p". The listing does mention that there is no date on the Queen's side, but the title itself is definately a more dubious claim...No trees were killed to send this message, but a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced. - Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neiltyson)0 -

Wow! this guy has sold over 120 coins worth 20p each for £1.80 each including delivery (or 60p less for those collected in person - I wonder if anyone who collected in person actually paid?)
One person even paid £36 for £4.00 worth of 20p coins.
I was thinking of selling 1p coins on ebay and maximising the profits under this business plan.
Looks like someone has already beaten me to that idea.
£1.33 (99p plus 34p postage) paid for a 1p coin

The seller is taking offers on that item.
Perhaps someone will offer 19p
(It's free postage too )
Edit: looks like some people have tried. 6 declines to date
(plus one accepted offer!)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
